Yes it is. How insulting! Castillo has never given us any reason to ever think he would take a dive. The guy is a ****ing warrior on his way out.

By no means was this a dive. It was a perfectly placed body shot, the kind we've been seeing a lot of lately.

At the same time, Castillo is shot, and that has been evident since his last fight. This fight is exactly what I predicted, but by no means was there any foul play.

Yeah he took a dive after tasting that hook to the body. Ouch.

Yes, saying it was a dive is ****ing pathetic.

It is possible that he could have "gotten to his feet" physically, but it was evident that his legs were gone. Maybe he couldn't even have mustered the energy to get to his feet, I don't know. I think he was just hit with a great shot, and isn't young enough anymore to take that kind of a blow.

Edit: Also, I don't know about any of you, but I prefer to see him get stopped like this, rather than getting up and being battered heavily some more just for show. He's done what he's done in his career, given us some great fights, and though he lost, he still came to fight.

yeah he held the teak tough mexican into submission in four gruelling rounds. while jlc did so well to withstand three rounds of that vicious, vice like grapple onslaught, there is only so much any man could take. so he dived

or b.

hatton marmalised him
cry me a river

Hatton should change his last name to Ruiz
If you're serious then the level of your posts has sunk to a new low. Hatton was wrestling on the inside while still throwing punches. That's perfectly legal in most instances.................Castillo also initiated some of the clinches although most were Hatton.

It was nothing different to what Hoya did on the 5th, tying up and throwing light hooks due to a lack of leverage when a clinch ensued, Castillo was holding while Hatton wanted to keep moving and get some good hip movement, i think Bazooka is just sad that a guy he admires was retired today but i'm sure he will get over it as opposed to continuing the little dark streak he seems to be exhibiting.

It didn't happen anyhow. Castillo had no monetary interest in winning or losing this fight, especially since he didn't seem all that interested in fighting in this one, I'm sure future fights weren't on his mind as well.
THATS WHY I SAID "THATS WHAT THEY WERE SAYING IN THE PRE FIGHT TALK""!!!!! how stupid are you??

Has anyone actually ever been on the receiving end of a perfectly placed body shot? By the reaction of some here, apparently not. It is probably the most painful of shots to be hit by, and if done to the standard that Hatton punch, you don't get up.

Yes Castillo is getting old, and may well now be finished due to that loss, but it is plain sad to say he took a dive. People seem more intent on ripping into Hatton for holding (**** me, I didn't realise boxing had become non-contact), than giving him credit for a superb punch and a superb victory.
