I feel really sad about the Setanta Boxing team, especially after reading this thread. The only sport I ever watch on telly is boxing and UFC, so I'll really miss it.
It's a shame that all this great boxing has come to an end, but at least we still had loads of good stuff whilst it lasted. |

Lads we can do this- we need to really get on ESPN's back to get live boxing and Buncey and Kerr back in the studio. |

Thanks to Buncey, Andy and all the crew for a great weekly show. Also, thanks to Setanta for their commitment to the worlds greatest sport.
Just thinking of the fights that we were able to watch over the last few years really makes you realise what a great job those guys did?? Will we ever see such commitment ever again to our sport from a sports network?? Hopefully, ESPN can be our saviour and have the insight to keep Bunceys show going aswell as take up where Setanta left off regarding boxing coverage. Again, thanks for the memories. |

Agree with all - great stuff from Buncey and the lads. Especially appreciate the fact they gave coverage to all fighters, not just the ones under contract to their network.
Please let ESPN continue the line and keep it on the Virgin Media XL package. |

Absolutely gutted there's no Boxing hour, had it on series link, terrific show, thanks to Buncey and AK, hopefully you can sort something out and get it back on our screens somewhere soon.
Setanta will be sadly missed for its boxing(only reason i had it), seen some superb fights, thanks to everyone behind the scenes also. |

I've been critical of Setanta in the past, but the bright light was the boxing, and in particular Steve's Boxing Hour. I don't think it will be a huge loss for the everyday person, but you have to feel for everybody that has lost their jobs due to Setanta closing.
The boxing hour was without doubt the best weekly sports programme around and as I mentioned the other day-the best bit was how wide and varied the guests were. Despite Setanta's issues with Sports Network, they continued to have Frank ****** on, and recently guests as wide ranging as Joe Frazier and Choi. If anything, the Boxing hour will be more missed than the Boxing itself. So a massive thanks to Andy Kerr and Steve Bunce for entertaining and informing me on Thursday afternoons and Saturday nights. Plus all the technical staff who never get the credit they deserve, and all the commentators, guests and reporters on the shows. I doubt a similar show to the Bunce hour will get picked up by any channels, but if Steve and Andy could together for an hour every couple of weeks and do us a podcast, I'm sure many would be willing to pay for it. So leave the memories alone.... |

Cheers Buncey and Andy, i really hope you both get fixed up with another gig soon. Your work on the Boxing Hour and the all the big fights was superb. Even if ESPN or whoever else pick up the slack and show the fights Setanta would have picked up, it wont be the same without both of you.

Yeah thanks Mr Bunce and Mr Kerr.
I've had some good nights over the last couple of years all thanks to the Setanta boxing team. Hope to see you back on TV soon. |
