Hard to pick just 3 but heres 3 of my favs.
Duran vs Chavez Morales vs Prince Naseem Leonard vs Mayweather jr Duran JC would be a war mixed with beautifull technical skills & I think durans edge in 1 punch power takes a close, possibly split dec. possibly the best mythical fight in history, no suprise its 2 latino`s then eh ? Morales Naz would be crazy shit & was spoiled by the mab fight. I think morales boxing ability would give him the edge in this 1 but his willingness to do crazy shit would end up giving erik a black eye or 2 but also the tko win over naz who looked uncomfortable when mab attacked, only erik wouldnt let up where marco did, he would get the job done. Leonard is the 1 guy who can outthink & outbox floyd but what a piece of boxing art we would see before the inevitable, a tko or ko win for srl. I think ray`s power & boxing brain make the difference in this 1 & finally floyd would realise that... NO... he couldnt do any better than his dad did vs the best boxer in the last 30 yrs. Leonard ko10 mayweather jr. |

1. Lupe Pintor vs. Jeff Chandler-Pintor by ko in 10
2. Salvador Sanchez vs. Eusebio Pedroza-Pedroza by dec. or late bodypunching stoppage. 3. Prime Benny Briscoe '67-72 vs. Marvelous Marvin Hagler-probably Hagler by dec. but maybe Briscoe by ko or cut stoppage |

Great thread albeit an old one
Max Schmeling - Floyd Patterson Two of the most underated heavys in what would end up in a classic. Very evenly matched, great style clash. I favour Schmeling by the slightest of margins. A 10 bout series would probably end in somehing like 5-4-1 in Schmeling's favour. Mike McCallum - Tommy Hearns The battle for jmw supremacy. Again very evenly matched. I guess McCallum akes Hearns out late, when it goes to he cards Hearns wins. Roberto Duran - Ike Willimas Williams is the only one I can see who could out-Duran Duran. Williams by close but clear decision in perhaps the greatest fight ever. |

I don't believe Pintor could pull out a decision here...and don't believe a KO, is a likely scenerio. Jeff wide pts win!!! |

Ali vs Louis
To settle an age-old question. I have them 1 and 2 alltime. i would like to see how Louis deals with the speed and unorthodoxy of Ali. Liston vs Tyson ( could have put Foreman in here with either one, but....you said three) Each of them scared their opponents and intimidation was a factor for both. So which was scarier ? And Mike's boxing skills are often under-rated. Could he get inside that long, ferocious jab ? Some 'heart' questions might get answered. Holmes vs Marciano Marciano's skills and defence don't get the credit they deserve. He wasn't easy to hit cleanly. And could Larry's jab keep off the smaller but undoubtedly stronger man. We could also get some kind of benchmarks here for other comparisons, stretching almost from Louis to Tyson. |
