It was possibly worse. As far as I remember it, Holyfield did nothing bar just jogging on the spot (like a light work out down the gym), keeping a constant distance out of range, while Valuev tried to move toward him with the speed of a swamp creature stuck in sinking sand. At least Dirrell showed ome good footwork and slick defence. |

Like you say, you can't turn it down, just catch the fight on the net/record it on Box Office if you're planning on ordering.

I have 61 Holyfield fights, including both Swiss and German versions of Evander vs Valuev. I've watched both versions all the way through and scored the fight 114-114 both times (I think) deffo scored a draw once, you can imagine how uninterested I was though. Still feel Haye will get clipped/clobbered at some point. He's getting stopped. I'm preparing myself for the worst, anything else will be a bonus.

John Ruiz has a worse chin than Haye and he managed a MD and SD losses in his two fights with Valuev. How many times has Valuev put someone on the canvas in the last 3 years? The bloke slaps as well. Valuev's getting schooled Pavlik style

Ruiz has better punch resistance than Haye, and more stamina. If he were to fight Haye next It would be about the right time to 'do a Tua on him' methinks and would be a decent/easier defence for Haye and build hype for a Klitschko fight. Really hoping he can pull it off, will make the Heavyweight division that much better. Add Chambers and an in-shape Solis into the mix alongside the Klitschkos and Haye and we've got a Heavyweight division to be proud about again.

I think Hopkins would take Valuevs shots better than Haye will. When that was a rumour I actually felt safe in picking B-Hop. Man I wish Haye had stronger temples

None - certainly that spring to mind anyway.
Chagaev couldn't put a dent in Matt Skelton, Ruiz hasn't stopped a meaningful opponent since..... God know's when. Holyfield hasn't stopped a good opponent since post-jail Tyson - and was shot to shit anyway. Haye is probably the biggest hitter he has faced. Does anyone else feel Sky are over playing the Owen Beck fight? Why not show some action from the Ruiz and Chagaev fights....... |

He destroyed Beck who's not world class and that looks good to the casual. Ruiz and Chagaev made Nico look shit.
Haye will actually test Valuev's chin. He may not have been dropped but he hasn't faced anyone with the arsenal to drop him. We will find out tonight if he has a legit granite chin. |
