Read Dan's reply. Not wishing death on the coppers at all, wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy but like Dan said, I was referring to them looking imcompetent. The ones I've dealt with are basically thugs in uniform who do their very best to incite violence so I'm not having any sympathy for them looking stupid, hope they all get back home safely after Moat is caught.

Its a great action film but it was slightly spoiled for me knowing what De Niros characters fate was going to be from the start. All that "Always walk away, never look back" was overdone and it was pretty predicable from the start that that was eventually going to be his downfall.
