I've read the book in the first link Kos. Very good "warts and all" accounts of Mills and Turpins careers without stooping to stick the boot in at any point, the article doesn't really reflect the tone of the book IMHO. Highly recommended.

Yep, seen that it's on Amazon for a few quid, so I was thinking of getting it. Will get it now that it has your recommendation

The book examines the rumours surrounding Mills for the sake of completeness but largely discounts them. There is some interesting stuff about Turpin as well....
