Default Pirog-Asikainen for the EBU title

This is been reported on the scene of boxing. Good fight IMO.

Should Pirog take this with ease or will Asikainen present him with some problems?

Asikainen can punch. He for sure has a puncher's chance, but I for one wouldnt bet a single coin on him against Pirog.
Pirog can punch as well ,but is faster and far more versatile than the Finnish fighter. He schooled Jantuah from pillar to post beating him black and blue in the course of 19 totally one-sided rounds.
Gevor, who isnt the most feared banger out there, defeated and stopped Asikainen on his home turf.Pirog doesnt have Gevor's experience in the paid ranks, but he has more pop in his fists that the Armenian warrior.
Pirog by stoppage victory!

Asikainen is a Euro level fighter, Pirog imo is already above that level. If Gevor was able to hurt the Fin, Pirog should easy be able too.

JAYSUS CHRIST!

Pirog actually fought for 19 rounds?

The guy is clearly in his own dimension.

ASIKAINEN HAS NO CHANCE!

Asikainen is anyways past it... His explosiveness/reflexes are gone, i think he still carries the mighty Power thou..

Asikainen can expose potential Glass Jaw of Pirog's just like he Exposed Sebastian Sylvester's Glass Jaw.

Pirog by stoppage otherwise.

Hopefully Pirog will win this. He seemed a bit hurt but not to badly by one of the Jantuah's left hooks near the end of the fight.

Might be a step up too soon though.

Pirog should stop him in 6. Asikainen is a banger but he's pretty soft centered.

Arena and Sauerland are generally on friendly terms (see AA vs Oral) but I think Sylvester will stay protected for a few fights.
Pirog should become mandatory to make that fight happen.

It might be Asikainen%Macklin. If there is anything left on Asikainen he will knock that Brit out for good.

Macklin,eh!

I would have been thrilled to watch Pirog fight Asikainen for the european title.

According to one of our informed fellow posters here on esb Pirog will be the main fighter of a fight show in Russia's capital Moscow somewhere in september.
I very much hope that he will face a known name with a good reptutation that day.
