Why did Witter run from Judah

Iv never seen the fight but the general view is Witter ran from Judah and he has looked impressive when iv seen him.

because he was young, 'green' and most importantly took the fight at about 2 weeks notice to help his then promoter Frank ****** out.
I have never EVER known any other fighter get as much stick for one fight as Witter takes for this one........people forget that at the time Judah was unbeaten and considered THE next boxing superstar!
Witter is the real deal and the only one who can challenge him at 140 is Hatton, he beats the fook out of everyone else!

I havent seen the fight but thats not an excuse for losing to Zab Judah who is a B level at best. Losing to Zab Judah is an embarrasment.

He took the fight to Judah, and got put on his arse. He then backpedalled for the rest of the fight.
I'm guessing you have not seen too many of his fights, he's looked bad more times than he has looked good. Witter claims he gets better as the opposition gets better, but I would say the opposite. He is an intelligent fighter though, he knows his limitations and knows how to win fights. He knew he couldn't compete with Judah, so took the next best option which was to survive and make his opponent lok bad.

Bullshit. Judah is a great technical boxer. How can you say that? Thats the same as saying losing to Spink etc is an embaressment.. stupid statement

Yes he was, it was his first twelve rounder and that's for a guy without an extensive amateur background. Look up his record on boxrec, it was a truly gigantic leap in competition

Witter was catutious of the power and speed of Judah. I think he let his mind take control of his ability. I still think Judah would have beaten the best Witter at that time but Witter really screwed up by letting the "hype" surrounding the Brooklynite take the fight out of him before the sound of the first bell.

It's funny, I was just thinking about a possible Judah vs Witter rematch. Witter has come a long way since they fought in 2000. Junior was very inexperienced at the time & Judah was by far, the better fighter at that stage.

Personally, I think Witter would be a completely different proposition now to the fighter Judah faced seven years ago. Not saying Witter would win, although I think he could, but it would be a competitive bout in my view.

Not sure at what weight the fight would take place at? Can Judah make 140lbs anymore? Zab's only 5'7, so maybe he would be able to.
