I don't get this. Two out of these three guys won world titles! Cooney was not a dud. He didn't win a world title, but was a very successful fighter. Give someone a break!!!

^Yeah, how the hell are you a dud if you became undisputed champion? Makes no sense.

Did someone in here say Hamed...he was like a top 5 p4p in his day...he has one loss...dumbasses...

How bout Lance "goofy" whitaker and Owen Beck...also that heavyweight guy who was in the 2000 olympic class with Ricardo Williams...I think his name was like Michael Bennet...

Buster became a bloated whale and stopped caring.

Leon Spinks retired with journeyman record of 26-17-3.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Look at the record of James Wilder and Johnny Carlo, fighters who Spinks lost to.

Still a olympic gold medal and a pro world title aint a bad level of success.
Reid? Actually he was beating TITO's butt until rd 7 came and the left hook.

i think cooney gave a good account of himself in his fight with holmes, but after that fight it was all downhill for gentleman gerry. i think he drank too much and was generally disinterested in boxing.

Whatever happened to Michael Carruth - 1992 Olympic Welterweight champion from Ireland.

I remember watching Ireland win a Gold and a Silver on that day. The Silver went to Wayne McCullough but what happened to the Gold medalist?

Certainly made less impact than Wayne, Audley or Mr Amir for that matter...
