When you get the article, please copy it and post it in this thread. I am very interested in knowing the details of Quarry-Middleton. My understanding is that Middleton gave Quarry a very tough fight.

If those numbers are correct, Quarry won the fight with a last round rally. In England in those days only 1/4 point difference was awarded for winning a round. Thus, 49 1/4 to 49 means Quarry won 4-3-3 in rounds.

Middleton must've been a tough guy at his peak.
