Default Robert Helenius Vs. Rene Dettweiler 12.9.2009

Who will win this match up? IMO Helenius should win this fair easily and not losing one single round, maybe stopping Dettweiler in late rounds.

Helenius was very impressive in his last bout, so I think he will take this one fairly easily.

I wil ride a different wave and put my money on Dettweiler in a very close fight.
Helenius is a great talent, but he will have too much on his plate with his German team mate!
Helenius is a rookie whose best scalps are Scott Gammer and Oezcan Cetinkaya.Helenius has 8 pro fights under his belt whereas Dettweiler has 26 ones.
The German has fought known names like Pala,Coc,and Sprott.Even a fighter like Perkovic is better than any of Helenius' victims.
I watched one of Dettweiler's fights live.Although he lost a mayority point decision against his stable mate Coc he showed a very courageous performance trying to win by all means.I was quite impressed with his willpower and heart. He isnt the most skilled young heavy out there.Thats for sure! Neither is he a big banger! But as talented as Helenius may be, Dettweiler is too experienced and too dangerous a foe at this stage of the Finn's career.
Bad matchmaking IMO!
Dettweiler by close point decision!

Well, Helenius got another KO. No great opponent, but it seems to show that his hand is heeled.

Good news! I am going to watch AA live. I am also looking forward to watch Helenius try to pass his toughest test in the paid ranks so far.
Unlike some of my fellow posters here I tend to think that Dettweiler will be a brute of a problem for the fighter from Finnland.
Sure! Helenius is more talented, has more pop in his fists and certainly more potential than his German stable mate,but........Dettweiler is tough, can take a good punch, and will fight tooth and nail in order to keep fighting under the banner of Sauerland promotion.
A true crossroad fight for him!
On top of that all I for my part think that Helenius is not ready yet to square off against such an experienced opponent at this stage of his career.
Up to now Helenius has only fought no-hopers and weaklings from the bottom of the heavy weight division. His best scalp is Gammer.
Dettweiler has faced much better foes.He has gone 10 and 12 rounds several times.
He had sparring with quite a few fighters of the upper echelon of the big boys' league.
Helenius by very close point decision in a very close fight!!
Dettweiler for sure is no big underdog in this upcomming fight!

Doesnīt really change the fact that Helenius is the better of the two.

Robert has beaten all his pro opponents easily, as he did with Gammer.

He can beat a lot better guys.

Dettweiler is only somewhat better than Gammer.

The reason why this is fight is happening is because Sauerland wants to get rid of Dettweiler, and offer a good scalp for Helenius. These guys have sparred, and Helenius made Rene dance samba. Sauerland knows which should prevail here. Now itīs only up to Helenius to take the win without any mistakes.

I quite agree with you inasmuch as Helenius has more talent and potential than Dettweiler, but good and well-balanced matchmaking is a very important part of the fight business. You can ruin a fighter's career when matched with a wrong opponent at a wrong stage of his career.
My motivation for saying this is Helenius' lack of experience in the pro circus.Compared to his stable mate from Finnland Dettweiler is a sly old fox.
This upcomming fight with the German will be far tougher than a lot of people here on esb tend to think.
We will see why way the cat jumps after 6-7 tough rounds being out of puff.
