I'm awaiting rooster's entrance in this thread.

I am not so quick to dismiss Williams. It is not exactly fair to say he beats the Hagler of '87. That is not my argument. I think it is premature to rule Williams out until he makes an account of himself at 160, that's all.

You know, I was tempted to say something along similar lines, but after giving it thought, I'm still not that sold on Williams as a middleweight. Perhaps I'm unforgiving and have a bit of an anti-Williams bias, but I can't get that first Quintana fight out of my head.

I recognize that Paul has improved since then, but has he improves so much that we're really giving him a chance against an 87 version of the Marvelous One?

I can't see it, so I refrained from posting it, even though the thought did cross my mind on him.

It's fair to say he could be a potential wild card in the equation, but I'm betting against his future success in the division.

Hagler would wipe his ass with Paul.

Based upon what I saw in one of his last ever sparring sessions, if they could retain their speed at the lower weights, someone like Wright I'd say yes. Wright is a good mover and about all Hagler had at this point was a decent right jab.

What could hagler really do at this stage in his career? Even if he caught up to one of them, he was too slow to get off and couldnt punch. He was too slow to catch his prey anywhere so where's the danger?

Nar, Oscar would be physically brutalised. Trinidad is a fine fighter, but Hagler's chin would stand up and he'd likely stop his man. Winky, nar, if he would be having trouble, Hagler would change his game and he'd end up winning. Williams, well like rekcutnevets said, we're not too sure of his standing at 160 yet, but the thread does say 'if they moved up', so no, Hagler could roll with shots and make you pay with hard and heavy hooks, Williams is not the sharpest of hitters. Hagler clearly beats all of them.

The Trinidad one would be a hell of a bout while it lasts.

I say all of them stop him before the third round. Easily, Hagler isn't fit to lace Pavlik's boots
