The match showed me that Les has a hell of a long way to go.
He gets ko'd inside 3 round by Hopoate even IMO.

If his next match with Brian Fitzgerald still goes ahead, im afraid he is gonna get badly beaten.

He looked in much better shape than his previous bouts. The man boob are just about gone! I actually think he has improved a lot but he was doing a lot of holding and pushing all though that was the instructions from his corner. If they are too scared for him to got out there and actually box then they can't hold much hopes for him.

Les doesnt even deserve the attention he gets.

To think he is training twice a day and receiving good pay checks by all reports.

Claims himself that he received 25k for his debut on mundine card.No wonder blokes like lovemore ndou dont respect him.

Yes he has improved but training fulltime so you should.

You got to remeber him being able to throw a semi decent jab would be a improvement on his debut..

The big chin himself would struggle against most semi decent domestic fighters at the moment.A man his size should be knocking the fuck out of people..

Manboob Mason is big for nothing, just like Little willy.Oh sorry i mean big willy.

the things that killed me was he doesnt use a jab to get range on his punches but instead fights up close which basically is harder for him because hes got such big arms and doesnt get to utilise his full size, i dont know what them tactics where from the corner but he shouldve been able to knock that guy out or atleast win a clear decision against that guy but i actually think he won....

yeah i agree mate - he could have picked that guy off all night with combos that started from his jab - the guy only knows hay bailers and hooks

Im a little torn on the topic of Les.

On the one hand he is just a bloke having a go, he has improved heaps and seems in much better shape. So part of me wants to take it easy on him

On the other hand his name is what is getting him the fights, and what is making his career. Whether he wants it to or not, he knows full well thats its his affiliation with his bro that is getting him fights on T.V, articles in the paper and probably decent coin. He cant expect people just to leave him alone and let him just develop like any normal boxer, then no one would care and no one would waste their time with him because lets face it he is the poster boy for average.
If Les was serious about boxing he would have stuck to the am's for a while in anoymity, its clear he lacks that experience. He wants the attention and the $$ thats comes with it more than boxing glory. You cant have your cake and eat it too young Leslie, though it appears you have been laying off it.

The Fitzgerald fight should well and truly be canned, no way he is ready for Brian. That could be a career ending beating that one.

I agree with the opinion on hoppa koing mason.
With Hoppa's short ssize he can sit on the inside and just rip uppercuts onto les mason, especially the way mason was leaning forward.

I have gained respect for Les, he is really keen on learning and developing, he has turned is life around and by all reports from people that have met him he has become a very humble and respectful guy.
