Sounds quite tempting. Austin is a very strong opponent even though he kind of disappointed me against Solis. Anyways, any news in regard of this possible fight, Ogi?

Ivo, as last i spoke with Kubrat 2-3 weeks ago, he told me that probably he will fight Austin. Still they do not have sign a contract. As you know a lot of matches were almost set, but failed at the last moment. Next Pulev's match almost sure will be 10 or 12 rounder.
Another interesting thing about Kubart. He is put in the 10-th position in the latest Ring magazine HW ranks.

One thing is sure. Pulev will fight on 7 May, cos Sauerland has two shows on the same date - Denmark card with Holy-Nielsen and one other in Germany with Silvester fighting. It will be a great day, cos it's also Pacman-Mosley in Vegas card

Change of the opponent

Ray Austin step down for unknown reason. Now the opponent will be another American Derrick Rossey. Hope now everythink to be ok! These days they must announced it officialy.

Possibly a step up. Rossy is more athletic and will be more active. Austin would get KOed in the mid-rounds, but Rossy has a good chance of going the distance with Pulev.

On Edit...this fight is on BoxRec now. Interesting gamble from Rossy to take his fight on such short notice. I wonder how Rossy rates his own chances....

As a prime fighter, Rossy seems like more of a challenge than Austin, who did not look great in his last fight with Solis. I hope this is more interesting than Pulev/Guinn.

Austin was more credible opponent to me even though he looked bad against Solis. Rossi never won anything special. I will take a look at his last fight with Chambers but I remember how easily Dimitrenko dismantled him few years ago.

I think that Austin would be a tougher opponent than Rossy, but that's still very good choice. Pulev has only 11 pro fights. Ideal opponent for Pulev at this stage of his career.

Given that Rossy has not made an effort to talk or hype this fight I'm expecting a blowout. Hope its competitive--I'm more interested in this undercard fight then the main event.

Nice! Pulev, Helenius, and Glazkov are the future of this division.

Stiverne, Price and Ortiz have also made some noise recently, and hopefully Perez will win prizefighter. These men can also bring excitment.
