Tervel's next fight is later today. After the Chinese fight Tervel said he lost some steam in the final round and was humble over his performance. I liked his attitude. I hope Tervel wins a medal and turns pro afterwards. |

Does Tervel Pulev have trouble making weight for 201 lbs? Would he fight professionally as a heavyweight or a cruiserweight? |

I don't think he has problems making 201 lbs. He is shorter than his brother. Probably by an inch or two. I am not sure. So, I guess he will fight as a cruiserweight. |

Price rates Pulev highly. From Boxing Monthly:
"I sparred with Pulev and I got more out of that trip to Germany than all the others [Sosnowski, Chisor, Haye, Solis]. I wasn't so much a sparring partner, we were both using each other and the spars were like fights. One day I woudl get the better and the next he would get the edge over me. During one spar, I probably got caught with the best shot I have ever been tagged with bar none as a pro. I had to take the shot, but he tried to close the show because he saw he hurt me a little bit, so I had to weather the storm. I have never ever had to do that in a fight, so I am definitely learning more by going away sparring with the best than from my opponents." |

So, he's already starting to talk directly about a possible fight with Klitschko. Till now he was more or less a little bit passive about such a possibility, but clearly he's setting his mind on it now.

WBA is pressing Povetkin to unify with Klychko next so unless he drops his paper WBA belt and ducks him again they'll probably fight around March. Pulev may want to take a tune up fight meanwhile and defend his Euro belt one more time.

Actually, that's exactly what he said to the bulgarian TV which broadcasted the fight. He said that probably he's going to fight one more time before facing Wlad. He also said that jabbing Ustinov to death was his main strategy

I just wish he would throw his right hand straight sometimes rather than always looping it wide, throw some more combinations and a little more killer instinct like he did in rounds 7 and 8 after Ustinov stunned him a little or in the Rossy fight. |
