Default Mr Buisness contines to impress

By Tony Nobbs
>2004 Australian Olympic Boxing Team Captain Jamie “Mr Business” Pittman
>moved his professional record to a very tidy 15-0, 7 KO's with a unanimous
>decision over South African Tshepo Mashego (15-8, 9 KO's) at the Davistown
>RSL, north of Sydney, NSW on Friday night. It was Pittman's second
>consecutive shut out against more experienced opponents in WBA regional
>title bouts. In July, Pittman, 26, won the PABA and WBO Asia Pacific
>middleweight titles out classing Filipino Nonoy Gonzales, scoring three
>flash knock downs along the way, and he took home the vacant WBA Pan
>African belt against Mashego, 29.
>“I boxed good, kept him at distance. He got me a few times, he could punch
>a bit but I just boxed to win the rounds. Everyone says I have an amateur
>style but I must be doing something professionally. I haven't lost a round
>for a long time” said the 6'1 Aboriginal. “I'm a huge middleweight. I'm
>comfortable at the weight, every one said I couldn't make the weight and be
>strong but they are wrong again”.
>Southpaw Pittman will next fight a yet to be determined opponent on
>November 30 at the same venue and is hoping to earn a WBA world rating
>soon. “I don't know who I'm fighting next and don't really care. Bring them
>Mashego, who lost on points to Felix Sturm in 2003 also has a knockout win
>and a majority points loss (in his last outing) against Victor Vuma, the
>WBC number 16 light middleweight. Pitman won the WBF super middleweight
>belt in November with a unanimous technical decision over another South
>African and Mashego foe William Gare.

He is pretty tall for a middleweight, with decent reach. Pittman will be very hard for anyone in this division, mainly due to his style and hand speed. Would love to see the fight if anyone has a link???
