Default Haye would like to spar with fury

Taken from skysports website.

I think this would be good for the boy fury to spar with Haye. Be a chance to work on his defence

David Haye is eager to spar with young heavyweight Tyson Fury ahead of his showdown with WBA title holder Nikolai Valuev in November.
Former undisputed cruiserweight king Haye will take on the 7ft 2ins Russian giant in Germany on November 7 in only his second fight in the heavyweight division.
Fury, meanwhile, who was fortunate to maintain his undefeated record when awarded victory in his last fight against John McDermott, has long complained about a dearth of willing sparring partners.
And at approximately 6ft 8ins tall he could provide Haye with a good opportunity to test his skills against a much larger man.
"If Tyson Fury is available, then yes," Haye said. "I'm around at the moment and if he's got a fight coming up I am more than willing to spar with him. He doesn't have to pay me, that's for sure!
"If he wants to come down and do some work with me I'd more than appreciate it and I'm sure he would also."
Confidence

Regardless of whether Haye gets Fury in the ring or not, the Londoner's trainer Adam Booth is confident his charge has the skill to adapt to Valuev's size.
"I don't necessarily think Valuev's style is wrong for David," Booth said. "He's always thrived on taller and bigger opponents and ever since he was young he has always sparred with people heavier than him.
"But we're not underestimating Valuev. There's an easy, obvious statement to make about Valuev that he's big so he's slow.
"But he's actually not that slow, if you look at the tapes of his left hand. And he's very effective at going 12 rounds.
"Although he's even admitted himself he is still learning to box, he's only got to be a certain percentage of what other fighters have to be because he's got those attributes of his height and his weight to carry him along.
"You have to look at what he does best, not what he does worst, so we'll prepare David for what Valuev does best and then have the answers for that."

I think this is good for fury, he should grab the oppourtunity with both hands. He's always moaning he hasnt got the opponents domestically to spar with and uks number 1 is offering to help.

Agreed. It would be a very shrewd move for all concerned and a perfect learning curve for Fury, IMO. Take the opportunity with both hands I say. Might make Fury a little more humble as well when he talks about the world HW scene in the future.

Yeah, your right. Im sure the test Mcdermott gave him got him thinking but a few rounds of david haye bombs will make him think about protecting that chin a lot more

This would be ideal; for both men. Fury probably punches as hard as Valuev too.

dont be ridiculous, valuev may look like a freak, move like a mummy but he carrys way more weight than fury and has KO'D 34 people. he has a more than solid jab, instead of that elbow flick fury seems to have

David doesn't mess around in sparring and believe me Fury would get the shock of a life time BUT he would learn that's for sure and I think he'd understand what real world class is about after moving around with David.. Also Valuev's power is far greater than Tyson Fury IMO..

So you do not go along with Tyson Fury having a bigger punch than Mike Tyson then?

ah now i think i understand you orignal comment, sarcasm (?)

he probably does hit harder than tyson, has a better left hook than joe frazier and his jab is a combination of foremans piston like effort and tommy hearns flick jab- a potent combination

If i was Fury i would joing David camp, shut my mouth and learn from there training methods in body conditioning and learn loads from the sparring with D. Haye.

He needs to shut his mouth and get on with learning boxing skills.......as whats gonna happen is David will smash him around the ring......maybe he dosent understand that you dont motivate other fighters by talking shit but rather befriend them and at the same time learn from fighters that currently better than you are.

Maybe Tyson Fury needs to watch a tape of Fedor in how to conduct himself.

haye bad mouths his opponent not every opponent in the divison he has abit of diginity about him unlike fury i lost total respect for the guy after his robbery of mcdermott he mugged himself right of there with his post fight interview upto then i had took all of his remarks with a pinch of salt that were designed to build up his profile.
with regards to the sparring i feel it would benefit haye due to furys size but either way i make haye the underdog here unlike the bookies and most in here valuev boxing skills shouldnt be underestimated although judging by his last performance this may be the best time to face him
