Schilt on paper really has the best changes of winning this year. He is experienced and his first two opponents are probably fighters he has beaten pretty bed before. If he has to fight Zimmerman... well I don't think he is ready yet. Also Schilt is always strong over three fights.
Hari on the other hand has to fight THREE!!! rematch/grudge matches. Now that would be one hell of a achievement if he would pull it off to win all three of them. |

I''ll make Hari the favorite this year along with Overeem and Schilt.
But I do think Schilt is on the slide. I'm just hoping Jerome can handle him and not go 0-4 against him.He said he will train with Tom Harnick for him now. |

(closley followed by Cro Cop and Ignashov) I don't rule him out totally tough. To beat Schilt you have to have good boxing skills and be able to put together your punches with speed and power. That is one of the best tools Le Banner happens to have. |

What entrance are you talking about(I'm really just a casual fan catching up with K-1,generally I'm a boxing hardcore)?
I agree with what you say but IMO you also have to have that touch of surprise,to make him be out of his zone like Hari did, like Ghita did in the first round.I don't think Jerome has that anymore. But I will hope.Maybe he can get a lucly punch or something. |

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] The basic feature Jerome lacks to beat Schilt right now is reach. He has the power and boxing skills, just can't reach his head without running into a knee, a jab or front kick. Hari does have that necesary reach. If you can overcome his reach, Schilt becomes very beatable as his boxing defense simply sucks. Jerome would have had a good chance of beating him back in 2002, when he had a high workrate, combined with very good handspeed and explosive power in both hands. He was a real killer back then - you could see even it in his eyes when he made his entrance. Right now he's a little bit too old I think meaning he's slower, has less stamina, ... Wow those are awesome entrances! The Julius Caesar entrance was superb.
In the second one he was wearing a flag of the Republic of Moldova, his girl at the time was from there. |
