My boxing days are over and now doing strength training ... creatines okay gives ur muscle group the extra push but if your looking for something real good try 17t somatocri by sci mx ... its legal as far as i know (any pro boxers you know the score in checking wats wat) and gives you a hell of a kick strength and stamina .... and in the morning guys you will have a woody the size of a baseball bat ! ... my mrs well pleased to be woken up each day ready to go ! unless she has a hangover

When I first had it, the sprint rounds on the heavybag were the first improvement I saw. I just felt a lot lighter and my muscles wern't burning nearly as quick. It's the high intensity lactic acid buildup that it affects most and you also get more energy and power to do stuff.

Creatine doesn't make you fat, just hold some water that will dissipate once you’re off it.

Creatine just allows you to train that bit harder and that's about it really. You may gain some weight due to water retention, nothing amazing.

That happens sometimes with creatine monohydrate ("bloating"). Not so with creatine ethyl esther and/or creatine alpha ketoglutorate. Monohydrate is more effective, but if one is worried about bloating, ethyl esther is the way to go.

Questiuon: Wouldn't you guys, as boxers, refrain from something that adds extra weight to your body when you are trying to make weight before each fight?

It has to be taken strictly to the directions, I've heard of bodybuilders blowing out their kidneys abusing creatine. Also check for banned ingrediants. The bodybuilding varieties have some hardcore additives in there.

Creatine Monohydrate is all the same. Looks like baking soda a white powder. Can buy it in powder form for like 30 bucks and should last you about 3 months.

If anyone is worried about ill affects cylcle it in 4 weeks on 2 weeks off. Try it OP it isn't too expensive and you may or may not notice differences. Just keep hydrated as everyone said.

If you take smaller doses you don't gain the weight but get the same benefit over a slightly longer period (ie 30 days instead of 15 for some sort of benefit).

I used to take it but have no money.
I wanna make moves but I got no money.

We all use creatine, the question is should you supplement it. And that depends solely on your diet.

Most people don't have a diet that is as high in protein as it should be for what they are doing. Obviously there are exceptions, but for those that do not get enough in, yes, they should supplement with it.
