Default Blagoy Naydenov debut

The bulgarian super-middleweight prospect Blagoy Naydenov, Youth Olympic , Under-19 World and Under-17 European amateur champion is making his pro debut on 21st feb in Cluj, Romania, against iranian Fatah Baghban (8 - 8 ). Last year he signed a contract with the experienced manager Gary Hyde, who said "I am absolutely delighted to add one of the best amateurs in the world to our team". Naydenov long-range goal is to become the first Bulgarian-born male world champion of a major boxing organization.
I have high expectations on this guy, let's see how his career will develop.

Baghban won to the current cochallenger for the EBU super middleweight title, Mariano Hilario. In the card, several Spanish boxers (countrymen of mine).

Naydenov is a great hope, but he needs time.

His style reminds me of Froch, but with faster footwork.

I managed to take an interview from Gary Hyde about Blagoy, here are some of the things he said:

- they will try to arrange him 8 fights in his first year as a pro. The fights should take place in Europe and US

- Gary Hyde says Blagoy will dominate the supper middleweight division in three years from now

- he hails his "amazing movement, incredible eye and real power"

Also, Blagoy's bulgarian coach said that his second fight will take place very soon after his first - probably in the beginning of March

Unbelievable bout. Naydenov has been stopped in the second round. He was clearly dominating when a heavy left hook sent him to the canvas. He stood but the referee stopped the action.

Are you sure about this information? All of the bulgarian sports websites have posted today that the bout was cancelled because of a last minute withdrawal of his opponent.

Wow, nice try troll

Anyway, if his coach was correct, his "next" (or actually - first) fight should be next month

Okay, i believe it. The picture seems to be real.

The corrupt press will have a hard job to withhold the outcome.

Without Froch's chin.

Saw the KO. He needs a new style, hands up chin down.

His opponent was a Romanian, much shorter, let’s just say not in the shape of his life, chap with an awful record literally taken off the streets. And after a good first round with too much showboating for my understanding Blagoy gets tagged with a left-right combo, gets up a bit shaky and the referee after short consideration stops the fight.

His corner was completly unknown to me. I guess all were Bulgarians.

I was surprised because they said he would stick with amateurs at least untill Brasil 2016 Summer Olympics because he got the resources he needed. Blagoy Naidenov was considered, by our media and specialists, a potential Olympic medalist for Brasil 2016. A star in making as I understand Bulgarian media.

What went wrong?
