Just posted by Dan Rafael on ESPN.com a few minutes ago.

Heavyweight titleholder Oleg Maskaev suffered a back injury Thursday and his Oct. 6 mandatory defense against Samuel Peter at Madison Square Garden in New York was postponed on Friday, promoter Dennis Rappaport told ESPN.com.

I am getting really annoyed with the heavyweight division guys. Its bad enough we got a weak division, but when the major players start getting hurt and postponing shit, its almost like the division isnt even there. real fucking dissappointing. Bless the heavens for the cruiserweight wieght limit increase, i think its time for cruiser to shine and take over as the 'new' heavyweight division.

Ding, Matt Godfrey, Cunningham, Oneil Bell, Mormeck, you got some solid players in there and they actually show up in shape with skill!

All these postponements and these cancleations are getting rediculess.
Peter should fight the #2 contender Vladimir Virchis (acording to the Sep 10 rankings from fight news) If Maskaev recovers he should fight the winer.
Vitali Klitschko should have his "free pass" revoked to clear the wy for all this to happen.
