I usually hate stripping, but in this case, it would be justified. Not sure about giving Peter the belt as he should beat someone for it, perhaps the #2 contender. But he certainly seems to have avoided Peter like the plague.

Just sad news, once again.

I think Oleg already postponed this fight for too long. first it was to fight Vitali, then he was having physical problems, then this. Not to mention his lousy defense against Okhelo.

The WBC should just strip Maskaev and have Peter and Virchis/Mccall/Gomez fight for the belt.
