I hoipe teampeter finds a another decent opponent for Oktober 6 but it will shurely not be a Top10 guy.

Why not pick Mcline for replacement for Maskaev, and declared the winner as interim Champ. They should strip the Champ who was injured & just put them as #1 contender when they are ready to fight.

Promoter should also appoint a Replacement on standby so they don't have to cancel the whole card. It's unfair for the undercard fighters who are ready to fight & unfair to HBO & SHO subscriber who ordered one just for Boxing just like me.

I hope the WBC can let Peter fight for an interim title or the actual title should they strip Maskaev. Virchis is the #2 guy and that would make for a great fight, but it may be too short notice to have him fight on the 6th. Rahman has fought recently and I think he's ranked in the top 5 or 6...maybe he could fight.

Perfect idea

Both guys are training hard and can't seem to catch a break. I like it.

Sounds like a winner to me.
I dont think Virchis steps in for the Oktober 6 date. His stupid promoter Kohl would not allow that. Peter will still fight Oktober 6 which is verry good but it will be hard to find a decent opponent. Now the cards are even more in Peters favour cause he will have a tune up Oktober 6 and will fight 3 months after that against Maskaev which means he will be in even better shape while Maskaev has not fight in over a year.

Rahman? Good idea, but Tua would be even better! Hes in good shape and verry active at the moment. And it would not be easy for Peter cause he cant knock Tua out.

I like that fight as well. It would be one hell of a slugfest and with the way Tua is looking, he is a very live opponent who could beat Peter.

I like your ideas, Tua and him would be even more exciting to me than him and Maskaev. So you really think Peters still going to fight on oct. 6?

Fightnews says Peter wants to keep the Oktober 6 fightdate. So he has not trained for nothing.

I dont think that would be fair to Williamson. Cancelling one fight to make another fight happen is a bullshit idea dont you think so?

The WBC should be wise and let Peter fight October 6 for the interim title against any of the top 10 ranked or somebody from the McCline-TOS, McBride-Golota bouts.

Then order Maskaev to fight the interim champ within 100 days for the real belt.

I'm not sure if he will fight or not on the 6th. I am hoping he does because I'm meeting my brother, who lives in New York, and he got 2 tickets to go to the Garden. I would be upset if just Rivera-Santos and Golota-McBride.

It happens....look at Marquez-Barrios and Guerrero-Juarez. Barrios pulled out and they filled in in with Juarez. I'm sure they could find another heavyweight to fill the spot in.
