How long do you have to be in a boxing gym before you can start fighting? Ive been in my local boxing club for about a month now and I really want to fight as soon as possible. Now I don't want to dive right and and get beat, of course im going to wait and get practiced up until im good enough and comfortable with fighting. Im already comfortable sparring and im decent at punching. Although I have to admit my uppercuts need a lot of work.
How long were you in a boxing gym before you fought? Also this is my first post so id like to say Hi my names jacob, im 15 I like to play guitar and box

There's no minimum time. You fight when your trainer says you're ready to.
Most people I've seen it's about 6 months if they are training hard (say 3-4 days per week). My first fight was after 5 months, and we were looking for fights for me after 3.5 months but they all fell through last minute. I was training for like three hours a day five or six days per week. |
