Default I suppose theres only one way to find out but...

i read on a few other boxing forums that filling up a basin of water, dipping your hands in it and flicking water in your eyes while trying not to blink is supposed to be good for helping to stop closing your eyes when your been hit in the ring?
now i know experience and the more you spar etc will stop it, and even after sparing 2 or 3 times iv noticed a difference, but i just want to do anything to improve as fast as i can.

I doubt that its real, you learn to keep your eyes open better over time, the key is being relaxed and taking the time to look at what your opponents doing...

Bazooka, i found that the guy i was sparring yesterday, had his hands low, i had mine high, he found my jabs easy to read, i realised after that i should be throwing alot more at him in that case..what do you think?

I started sparring last week, done it twice this week, is twice a week enough? i plan on been in the gym 4 days a week, plus road work and a bit of strength conditioning on my own, should i be trying to squeeze in as much sparring as i can, as in try to train 5 days a week with 3 sparring days..
