Who takes this one ? I conclude that Pedroza would have his hand raised after 15 hard rounds. Arguello always had problems with mobile guys,which would make the difference here. A hypothetical classic though.

i agree i think pedroza takes this, for me pedroza gets under rated on his best day he beats any of the all time great featherweights, the guy was a freak of nature for the weight 5 foot 9 and shoulders like a welrerweight, av heard alot of stuff over the years about pedroza haveing really bad weight troubles going as high as 175 inbetween fights any one else heard this?

I'll take Arguello.Pedroza cant keep away from Arguello for 15 @ some point he will exchange and Arguello will start chipping away @ him and take over midway through the fight.

Pedroza was an excellent in-fighter as well. Terrific body puncher and far more elusive than Arguello from long or short range.

It's an interesting bout, for sure.

I agree. I just see Arguello at some point taking over and winning a decision.

The greener Arguello that took on Marcel likely loses this one...But you cant count out a guy like Alexis for a second.

I think Arguello simply had too much firepower for Pedroza. Pedroza could barely squeak by LaPorte, who staggered him several times, and IMO he should've lost at least one of his fights with Lockridge.

I think Arguello shuts him down at some point and goes on to win a decision.

that is a myth, that AA had problems with movers. Most people never even seen the fight he lost

he had problems fighting runners in their backyard of NYC with the crowd influencing the judges. A good ref would have taken points off for not fighting

Pedroza isnt a mobile guy. He's a dirty fighter that excels in delivering shots below the belt. Arguello on points

To be fair, Vilomar was using damn good lateral movement Rooster. Peppering Arguello with enough shots to easily win their first fight (IMO)

Yer referring to my man Vilomar Fernandez and he was simply magnificent the night he boxed Alexis ears off on that nyc nite of long ago..im sure ill take ...... for this but even in the rematch "Vilo" showed, in brief flashes, the style to beat Alex....step back pop-pop-pop...step back pop-pop-pop.

Arguello was a fledgling at this weight. Pedroza is underrated too. I'd narrowly favour Pedroza's vast experience and infighting brilliance to edge a decision.
