Well, at least YOU told me. I should have listened to ya Addie...

I'll still try and get around the issue by splitting my vobs, but it may take a while. I'll see what I can do...

That sucks. Uploading to YT is such a chore.

Download MPEG Streamclip. It's free. Then convert your VOB into one compressed .avi or .wmv whatever, and then split that into 10 minute sections. Sorted.

Hopkins-DLH

Had Hopkins 5 to 3 up until the knockout. Could not believe Mayweather's generic, copy-and-paste advice to DLH. "jab jab, keep popping the jab" right when he was being countered for a lot of the jabs he threw

I watched Arbachakov - Kittikasem. Then I watched Carbajal - Gonzalez I and am left wondering if Arbachakov could have beaten either of them at 108. I think decision wins for both Gonzalaez and Carbajal actually, but Arbachakov certainly would not have been pushed aside. I think he had a lot to offer. Shame he lacked exposure.

Really? I think Yuri knocks Gonzalez out. Sharp, accurate puncher with a fair bit of power. Gonzalez is going to be getting tagged an awful lot, and I don't think his chin would stand up to it.

Carbajal is another story.

Nah, feet of stone would get smashed up and outmaneauvered just the same.

I'm a big Carbajal fan but that was rather amusing.

Neither Carbajal nor Gonzalez is having much success stepping up against Yuri. I'm puzzled how anyone could watch those fights and come to a different conclusion.

Moore vs. Mihara

This is actually quite a bit of fun, because Mihara, while clearly nothing terribly special, possessed a boat load of heart and hung as tough as he could against the less experienced, but much more athletic and talented Moore. Mihara actually had Moore backpedaling in a fiercely contested fourth round (taking it on my stanza), but Davey came right back to score a kd in the fifth, and then scored three kd's the next round to seal the deal and win the title.

Worth checking out.

Jung-Koo Chang vs Muangchai Kittikasem

Round 1: Chang (10-9)
Round 2: Chang (10-9)
Round 3: Kittikasem (10-9)
Round 4: Kittikasem (10-9)
Round 5: Chang (10-7)
Round 6: Chang (10-9)
Round 7: Chang (10-9)
Round 8: Kittikasem (10-9)
Round 9: Kittikasem (10-9)
Round 0: Kittikasem (10-9)
Round 11: Chang (10-9)
Round 12: Kittikasem wins by TKO

One of the strangest fights I have ever seen. Chang looked weak and borderline shot from the opening bell, but this didn't stop him from winning many rounds and scoring a total of three knockdowns. The ending was pretty hard to watch. Kittikasem caught Chang with a short left hook and it was all over. Chang was done. He kept getting up because he's a warrior, but he was stumbling into the referee when it was waved off. Sad to see such a fighter go out like that, especially against a fighter he would have toyed with in his prime. Chang was literally seconds away from becoming a world champion....again.

It would be great if some of you could bring yourself to take a brief respite from dusting off your old Motiograph handcrank projectors and reels of 15+ round epics to have a gander and score an insignificant little skirmish that's merely one of the forerunners for best fight of 2011 (humbug!). It would be interesting to compare scores with more educated sets of peepers.

Don't worry, it won't bite. There's no rap music and you don't have to eat any of those newfangled Apple Jacks that don't even taste like apples.

As did I.

Not as good as Concepcion vs Marquez, but that's hardly an indictment of this fight's quality. And I agree, more or less, with how you scored the fight up until the stoppage. Yamanaka was definitely ahead, although Iwasa was still in the fight up until the end.

Cool, glad some people enjoyed it.

Yeah, Iwasa made it a contest all the way but the KO was really just a bit of sugar frosting on what probably should have been a wide-ish unanimous decision for Yamanaka.
