i always use 10- point just to keep it consistent but it seems noteworthy anyways.
Yeah I put that in because I thought it was interesting that I would have had Ali winning using the round scoring system, the 10 point must is clearly the fairer system though.

Draw: 1, 7
Eubank: 2, 4, 5, 9, 11
Watson: 3, 6, 8, 10, 12.

Score: 115 - 115
Yeah difficult fight to score, in close rounds I favoured Watsons workrate over the few bursts of Eubank, he was also the aggressor in the majority of the rounds which was the decieding factor for me. Having said thtat I'd have no problem with anyone having Eubank ahead, I seemed to remeber there being a bit of an uproar, maybe that was because Eubank wasn't very popular at the time?

yeah I agree, with round scoring I had marquez going 1-0-1 with pac. with 10 point I have him going 0-2 by virtue of the kd's.

mab-morales 1 - a war like this doesn't need analysis, it's down to who edges the exchanges.

1: 10-9
2: 10-9
3: 9-10
4: 9-10
5: 9-10
6: 9-10
7: 9-10
8: 10-9
9: 10-9
10: 9-10
11: 9-10
12: 10-8

113-114

the best way to descrive how I saw this fight is like a sniper rifle vs a shotgun. morales landed precise hard shots and mab slugged his heart out trying to blast morales away. based on morales landing the cleaner shots he won 7 rounds in my books making him a 1 point victor.

em - mab 2

1: 9-10 this second fight is much more a chess match with the refined mab controlling the action in the first
2: 9-10 again mab the boxer puncher is keeping morales at range with his jab work and occasionally landing good shots of his own.
3: 10-9 morales picks off some very good shots in this round, mab finishes quite strong behind the jab but it's not enough.
4: 10-9 good round for morales who is able to control mab from range keeping him ineffective on the back foot.
5: 10-9 morales causing mab loads of trouble with his reach as he again controls range keeping mab on the back foot.
6: 9-10 mab times his shots much better this round, closing the distance behind his jab.
7: 9-10 mab boxes well behind his jab again this round but is seemingly knocked down only for it to be ruled a slip. good finish by morales.
8: 10-9 morales boxes well on the backfoot here popping his jab, mab has some success against the ropes but not enough to nick it.
9: 9-10 mab won the first half of the round with em edging the second. mab nicks it based on his last second flurry.
10: 10-9 morales wins the outside exchanges this round seeming to impose himself more than mab.
11: 9-10 quite an evenly matched round with mab edging the inside echanges against the ropes.
12: 9-10 round was better suited to the tempo of the first fight with mab getting the best of the brawling.

113-115

Bowe-Golota I '96

Round 1: Golota 10-9

Round 2: Bowe 10-9

Round 3: Bowe 10-9

Round 4: Golota 10-9

Round 5: Golota 10-9

Round 6: Golota 10-9

Round 7: Golota DQ'd for excessive brutal lowblows from hell.

Total: Golota 58-56* (56-56 with pre round 7 deductions)

*Golota deducted 2 points for brutal lowblows prior to the 7th, & deducted a 3rd point for a lowblow in round 7, before finally being DQ'd for yet another lowblow. However, my scorecards do not include point deductions, hence the brackets.

Sadly Riddick was a visibly very flabby 252lbs, with jiggly manboobs rather than pecks & a belly rather than a solid torso, so it was evident his conditioning was simply awful. As Bowe said before the fight: "Larry why do I need to train so hard to fight a bum?!" Also, George Foreman said during the fight: "Riddick Bowe is just not in-shape, that's all there is to it, from the opening bell this guy has not been in-shape, he underestimated this fighter & he's getting whipped."

Ray Mercer vs Bert Cooper

1. Mercer 10-8
2. Mercer 10-9
3. Mercer 10-9
4. Mercer 10-9
5. Mercer 10-9
6. Cooper 10-9
7. Mercer 10-9
8. Cooper 10-9
9. 10-10 Even
10. Mercer 10-9
11. Mercer 10-9
12. Mercer 10-9

118-110 Mercer

Great scrap, Cooper was very game in this fight but in almost all the close rounds Mercer just did that little bit extra.

Round 1: Bowe 10-9

Round 2: Bowe 10-9

Round 3: Biggs 10-9

Round 4: Bowe 10-9

Round 5: Bowe 10-9

Round 6: Bowe 10-9

Round 7: Bowe 10-9

Round 8: Riddick gives Tyrell a punishing pounding, drops him, then KO's him.

A commentator noted Biggs' body looked stronger & harder than it ever was in the past, & Tyrell himself said he was in the best condition he'd ever been in.
