Starling was an incredible inside technician and for Curry to have the success there that he did impressed me immensely. Countering in close from both is sheer class. I like Moochy. Perhaps if he had clowned a little less and got more work done on the inside exchanges than he would have done enough in the eyes of the judges. Curry performed at a high level too, but if I was pressed to award anyone the fight than it would have been Starling. He landed the two most decisive punches in the fight in my opinion.

I have the rematch ready to watch, and I've also been on the look out for the first Breland fight but haven't had any luck so far. I've seen the Honeyghan fight, Flea. Very one-sided from what I remember.

Yes, Moochy lost the first Starling fight IMO, too eager to show off his flamboyant touches (Starling Stomp!) in his first TV fight. Curry was pretty green, and despite being the more lauded prospect of the two learned a lot from it, for most of his career Starling didn't, but when he wanted to up the ante he was a spiteful fighter to be up against.

You'll love the 2nd fight mate

As for the Honeyghan fight, once Starling found his range and timing Honey was clueless (I gave The Ragamuffin Man the 1st two rounds). A comprehensive win over the undisputed no.1 in the division when Starling was coming straight off the most shocking and controversial moment of his career. Summed up Moochys class IMO.

120-109 Yuh

Yuh faces off against the only man to beat him and gives him a schooling. Ioka barely lands a shot of note throughout the 12 rounds, bullied in the exchanges and routinely out-jabbed at a distance. I struggled to give him a single solitary round.

Man, watching Jones outbox and obliterate Barrera in both fights is great. Those right hands are something else. Jones definitely had some wasted talent. He looks great here.

114-112 to Pacquiao

Really can't see how one judge had it 115-110 to Marquez

Khaosai Galaxy Vs Kongtonaree Payakaroon (WBA 115lb title)

GALAXY 114-113 PAYAKAROON

The two less capable brothers of two of Thailands most intriguing stylists, Galaxy, the long-reigning Super Fly titlist defended against Kongtonaree, who had beaten Payao Poonterat via decision in only his second boxing contest and convinced the Olympian to retire.

Galaxy looked sloppier than ever here, as Kongtonaree, a similarly succesful Nak Muay (5 weight Lumpinee champion) as his younger brother Samart, employed a similar style to his more succesful International Boxing Brother, employing constant lateral movement. Unlike Samart, Kong had a far less capable offence, at least here, where he safely evades Khaosai throughout and has some success in close rounds with his more accurate punching.

Khaosai gets tired and frustrated, and looked slow thoughout against his nimble and smaller foe, who really showed up Galaxys awful balance, plodding feet and lack of handspeed as well as anyone.

Khaosai relied on outworking Payakaroon, although he didn't really bludgeon him all that much. Payakaroon had a good 5th, scoring a flash knockdown with a right hand as he stepped to the side and left Khaosai in his wake.

Khaosai came forward always, as ever. Decent fight, competitive, but Payakroon didn't punch enough to win IMO.

Funnily enough I read an interview with him today and realised I've sat about a foot away from him on a couple of occasions. Hopefully I can formally meet him on my next trip, providing he still referees exhibitions at the same bar.

I had that 115-112 to Marquez, don't have my rounds handy though, definitely felt JMM won though.

He's clearly been Pac's superior in their 3 fights IMO.
