Default Look at this

Hall of Fame lightweights:

Pedro Montanez
Henry Armstrong
Lou Ambers
Ken Buchanan
Esteban De Jesus
Ike Williams
Roberto Duran
Beau Jack
Packey McFarland
Bob Montgomery
Pernell Whitaker
Julio Cesar Chavez
Alexis Arguello
Jack McAuliffe
Joe Gans
Benny Leonard
Jimmy Carter
Lew Tendler
Tony Canzoneri
Barney Ross
Billy Petrolle
Joe Brown
Edwin Rosario
Freddie Welsh
Sammy Mandell
Battling Nelson
Carlos Ortiz
Ismael Laguna

Lew Jenkins
Kid Lavigne
Ad Wolgast
Sammy Angott

These are just the solid lightweights. Nevermind Johnny Dundee, Duilio Loi, Baby Arizmendi, Louis 'Kid' Kaplan, Flash Elorde, Jose Napoles and others who campaigned at the weight.

And not forgetting Dave Holly, Jack Blackburn, Shane Mosley, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Esteban De Jesus, Willie Joyce, Rocky Kansas and others who have yet to make it into the Hall.

Deep.

at Rosario being there. He looks so out of place when scrolling down that list.

You're right though, maybe the deepest weightclass of all.

The greatest of the weight classes, which is something when you look at the middleweight division for example.

I've never understood the people who claim the middleweight division was the deepest. There's depth, but not more than a small handful of truly legendary fighters at the top.

Not the deepest, but still quality. It just accentuates how great lightweight has been through the years.

Just think how many good fighters from back then would have held titles today.

Lightweight is really deep. I think it has some of teh greatest fighters of all time in it.

In terms of the depth of it and the competiveness of teh top places i think Bantam is deeper
