If you ranked fighters purely on who they beat who would be top?

Who has beat the most World Champions/ATGs?

Sam Langford (top 4 pound for pound lock)
Jack Blackburn (top 20 lightweight lock)
Joe Gans (only an arguable newspaper win, top 20 pound for pound lock)

That is exactly how most people on here compile their lists, they do not count losses as a negative and the best win for a boxer is the best he could have achieved, so Marciano, Mayweather Jnr and Calzaghe are going to get marked down as they were probably better in every case than their best win and able to go another 1 or even 2 gears higher in an ATG sense, but posters on here will pin them down to their best win which is implying that they could not have performed one iota better ?, that is not true, losses should count as a negative.

Then why isn't Holly near the top of the lists? You'll go a long way before you find anyone with better wins, so if folk aren't taking his many losses into account, how to explain his absence from the top 30 p4p?

Holly is a turn of the last century boxer, who has nowhere near the amount of wins that Gans, Walcott and Jack Blackburn had, if somebody like 'asero' looked at his boxrec record he would tell you half of his opponents had less than ten fights { I know you dont have to tell me }.
