Holyfield was the greatest cruiserweight ever before he was prime I think. But I'm not sure if he had really attained ATG status before he'd moved up and won the heavyweight title.

It's a really difficult thread actually, partly because cut-off points are going to vary and qualifications are going to be different. Holyfield was the #1 CW before moving up to HW but does that make him an ATG? How many fighters are ATG's? Hard one, isn't it...I mean even McLarnin, would he be a lock for a top 30, 40, without his peak efforts later in his career? You can't be sure.

Maybe pacquaio, looking back i think he hit his absolute prime around about the diaz fight (carrying on to now) and i would have probably classed him as an ATG before then.
