I think Floyd's sharp punching has a lot to do with him not cutting a lot of his opponents. He usually lands flush instead of grazes or thumbing like some boxer does. He also directs most of his punches at his opponents' chin. Yes like the previous posters have already stated... I don't think Floyd got one punch KO power at 140 but If Hatton can't keep up with Floyd's movements and Hatton's corner doesn't throw the towel then we might be able to see Hatton get KTFO cold for the very first time from acculmation of punches/getting countered hard coming in. That is what I am hoping to see.

I can only see a TKO victory. Hatton's been dropped once and wobbled occasionally, but that was by bigger punchers or southpaws. Floyd's neither of the above. I can't see Hatton eating punches as flush as Gatti did nor the same kind of quantity being thrown or landed by Floyd. That, on top of the fact that Hatton's got a proven chin means he's unlikely to get dropped for the count.
That said, I think that Hatton stands a better chance if he gets Floyd to unload all he can. If PBF decides to jab and move then Hatton might have a hard time finding him however, if he unloads then he'll leave a few gaps open that Hatton's better equipped to exploit than most of Floyd's recent opponents. It's unlikely, but there's that slight chance I'm hoping he takes. |

If Haton has good footwork and cuts off the ring well with good shot placement and speed and can counter with power, he can win. Do i think he could do that? I dunno and am envisioning a running man Floyd with his drive by glory, hit and run victory

It's a very possible result.
and if Floyd is in the mood, he might go for and GET a referee stoppage in the 1st/2nd round. just like he did to Manfredy.... |

I dont think he will knock hatton down but the ref could possibly stop it due to Ricky taking too many clean shots.............This fight depends on the ref though..........!!!!!

I don't see this fight going the distance. I see Floyd stopping Hatton between rds 7-10. Hatton will taste the canvas, and he will be hurt badly, and I don't think it has to be an acumilation of punches. I think Floyd will hurt Hatton would solid flush shots whenever he sits down onn his punches. This thought that Floyd can't hurt Hatton or stop him unless it's by cuts is ridiculous! I think Floyd can hurt Hatton w/a single uppercut, straight right, or left hook. I also think he can hurt Hatton to the body as the fight goes on!
Floyd's gonna put a hurtin on Hatton, that Ricky's father will be feeling for yrs to come!! |
