Default Mayweather v Witter... why not?

If the rumours that PBF is coming to England to fight next spring then why not fight Junior Witter?

Makes sense really as Witter can fight southpaw and is an awkward customer who could if he got really lucky and have a good night give PBF a problem or two. He`s got a decent chin so wont be knocked out in a few minutes and could give Floyd a good 12 round workout.

Makes more sense than fighting prize bum Matthew Hatton who would be KO`d inside a few minutes.

Cos it's a terrible fight. Any boxing fan entertaining anything less than Mayweather vs Pac has become a mug to the system that sees us spend our hard earned cash in any circumstances to see WELL BELOW par fights.

I don't think Witter really deserves a shot to be in the ring with Mayweather. Apart from a very easy workout for Floyd and payday, whats the point? Witter past his prime and should probably think about hanging them up. He's had a good career.

It would be one sided but also stale fight with fits and spurts of action from Mayweather..least against an aggressive fighter or more orthodox fighter you can see more consistent action.

When will people realise that nobody is going to touch Witter?

If Pac v Mayweather isn't made next, then I may consider stopping watching boxing. It's depressing imagining either of them in the ring with anyone but each other.

Because Witter had his ass handed to him by a 22 yr old American rookie kid, wtf will Floyd do to him??

If Floyd took on this fight, his sparring partners in training would probably be tougher tests than Witter.

Its not a terrible fight. PBF simply has no business in the ring with a guy like Witter when 47 is sooo stacked. Theres tons of big name bouts that can be made. If Pac isnt at the top of his hitlist then he needs to go back to retirement.

Why don't we have Mosley vs Peter Buckley as the co-feature, or Frankie Gavin vs Paul Williams?

It is an atrocious fight. Witter is a 140 pounder for starters, he isn't even a champ at that weight and he is coming off of a loss where he lost every round and was stopped.

I'm all for fighters fighting champs from other weight classes but PBF is the best boxer in the world.

PBF v Pac. Anything less exposes boxing as absolute shite. We moan about not being mainstream etc but if PBF vs Pac isn't made then boxing doesn't deserve the time of day and we've all be hustled for our money.

PBF didn't have a scooby who Witter was at 140 when Floyd was proving himself and Witter was actually decent. Even then he would have been a demolition job.

These fighters have no business being mentioned in the same sentence.

Floyds elite, Witter's never smelt that class of fighter. Elite fight elite, that is how it should stay.

I'm sick and tired of shit fights in boxing.

PBF vs Pac - as Floyd would say - make the ****ing fight happen.

Freddie Roach is a ****head.

I take everything he says with a pinch of salt..... apart from his predictions from now on (barring a Pac vs Floyd fight)
