Default Taylor showed more in losing...

JT showed more in losing to Pav last night than he usually shows in winning. I have way more respect for him today than ever had before. He stood in there and fought a real fight, against a dangerous opponent finally. No one should call him a fraud or say he is done. He finally fought like a warrior like we all have called him out for not doing in the past, and he should be respected. He got KTFO for it, but that is Boxing. I am a big Pavlik fan, I was out of my chair when Pav knocked him out, but I respected JT. I want to see Pav v. Duddy, and JT v. Miranda. I think both JT and Edison, lost in about the same fashion to Pav, but JT had more moments that EM. That fight should happen now, the winner gets a rematch. Pav might destroy Duddy, but if Duddy can stand in, that could be a classic.

indeed, a lot of respect must go to jermaine after last night. he went toe to toe and outboxed pavlik for most of the fight. i also underrated his power massively, sure looked like he could bang last night.

also both guys were extremely classy after the fight, great to see. not like the ****ing hatton-mayweather freakshow.

yup. I agree. JT showed a ton of heart *actually too much at the end* and the willingness to get in there and fight a tough fight. He didn't run or try to look pretty, he just went at Kelly and traded shots.

Although he didn't win i think a lot of fans that have been writting him off will start to come back around. Rightfully so.

I think JT can come back and learn from this and become a champ again. He certainly has the tools *physically* to do so.

Unchained, having respect 4 Jermain doesn't have to do with it... Jermain didn't show anything more than we already knew about ( and that includes staying still, straight up and taking shots like against B-Hop, Winky and Ouma on the ropes and corner)... Just one thing different now to be precise, he was timid in the locker room post fight interview and not saying "I'll fight for the most money"( post Cory Spinks fight interview )... I agree Pantera Miranda and Taylor would be a terrific eliminator at 168 pounds but not just as yet, Taylor may not commit the same mistakes in the rematch and fight better behind the jab to a 12 round UD.

There's an irony that Taylor was getting criticized so much for his fights against Ouma and Spinks, and then he comes back and nearly stops a big, bad middleweight like Pavlik.

It just goes to show that styles make fights. Taylor showed he's no chump in the power department, and he's not afraid to go toe to toe.
Of course, that's ultimately what led to his downfall.

He got wasted because he finally met someone whom he couldn't go the distance against. He simply couldn't avoid this fight, and remain popularity, so he took it.

Taylor isn't a fraud, but people chestbeating him, built him up to be one. For a while he even gained p4p top listings.

I wanna see a rematch, honestly. These two both proved that they are the top middleweights in the world. Your current champion at 160 was nearly KOed in the second by the former champ, and was indeed getting beaten on points when he rallied incredibly to score a stoppage. I REALLY want to see these two try it again, I think that Pavlik-Taylor II could be a potential FOTY.

Maybe you mean Pavlik and not Jermain, Kelly was the one to use whatever reserve of adrenaline to sustain JT's attack and overcome every obstacle to glorious triumph in stoic fashion... Jack, you need to make that demand to Jose Sulaiman and to some Carlsberg (Dane beer) charitable department... Since Jose put WBC Super Welter and Welter Champs together, everything is possible in the WBC... Bring Stone Cold Steve Austin to entertain you folks in Omaha and beating the s*** out of Frank ****** 2.
