You're asking whether you are wrong but don't want criticism?

It's a pretty hard question to answer with the little detail you've given. Start with a standard, conventional style and gradually add (I was going to write 'change' but that would give the wrong impression) different techniques to your arsenal varying on the ability you have.

Thanks I appreciate it....I was just asking because I have only been training for 5 months and I am fighting in the Pennsylvania golden gloves in march

What you look like has little relevance to how you should or can fight, work on your technique and spar some people, then you'll figure out your style. Learn lots of different styles and learn what style beats what style, you need to adapt and work hard. Boxing isn't just something you're gonna jump into and be a Floyd Mayweather straight away. Like any other sport you have to start at the bottom and learn your craft.

There is no 'best' style of fighting, only what is best for you. Nobody is unbeatable. The fighter i've seen closest to an unbeatable style is the amateur boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, he actually has abit of every style and knows when to use what.

So you just started boxing two weeks ago and you're already looking like Mayweather Jr?

Kinda agree with Lefty, why the hell did you post a picture of yourself? lol.

I personally don't go for following trends to box like pro boxers. For two reasons.

1. You aren't them, so it probably doesnt work for many others.
2. Amateur boxing is completely different.

Floyd's style is good for pro fighting but terrible for amateurs. My advice; Learn the basics and master them. Then update your style, but in saying that your style will evolve to something more comfortable for you after some time fighting and training.

That depends , no harm in trying it in sparring as long as you havnt made up your mind you are going to fight like that no matter what. Like anything if it works keep it if it doesnt then get rid not really rocket science mate

My personal oppinion is that it wont work. We had a guy in our gym trying to be like mayweather. It didnt work hed been boxing longer than me and i still hit him plenty cos he couldnt execute that style. Trainer told him to stop ****ing around. I think you need to progress to that standard over years, you need the skill and reactions to pull off that style. But heh you may be a natural.

Be yourself. Copying fighters is retarded. If you copy someone how are you ever going to replicate their reaction to every moment. You need to develop your own style and from what you've written your going to get a BIG wake up call before this happens.
