At eleven pages in I can't be the first to mention Thomas Hearns.

No one moved or boxed quite like Hearns. The way he let his hands go, switching head to body, lining up the right hands; sharp skills, explosive power. Pure artistic expression; right up there with Coltrane and Hendrix, et al. Force of Nature.

Hearns by far when he had his legs and boxed and set you up knowone came close to looking as good not even Ali

Curry-the best combination puncher i've seen...
Holmes-my favorite HW
McCallum-the body punching master with technical skills
Hopkins-his deffense when combined with his IQ and win at all cost attitude is the best i've seen
Camacho-speed at its finest he even had power if he wasnt on the move so much.
Nunn-should have been a ATG he had everything....
Livingstone Bramble-Love watching this man rip your body apart...
Alex Arguello-watching him set you up and soften you was a thing of art...
Diego Corrales-when you were hurt and he was coming after you, there was no escape..
Wilfred Benitez-His deffense was a thing of art, what gets overlooked tho he is 1 of the fastest guys of all time to...
Juan Manuel Marquez-his combination punching is pretty special for a new generation fighter love this guy..

man good thread i skipped the last few pages tho to contribute as best i can.
I think hopkins against echols 2 and trinidad looked beautiful. Im right into joe louis right now. I love his demeaner(typo) in the ring. Dude was cold as ice. Arguello. Leonard. Good to see everyone likes Toney! I think Mccallum brought out the best in him in their 1st fight.

I mentioned him on the last page.. GUess my post was too long for you to catch it

One fighter i didnt mention wa Buddy Mcgirt..was just probably more of a puncher than boxer at Jw... But when he moved up he was mainly a slick boxer, and one of the best technichians of his era.. I remember his toe to toe wars with Frankie ****** or when he ate all kindd of shots vs Meldrick Taylor.. All of a sudden he moves up to Welter outclasses the Feared and still prime Simon Brown and is now slick, great defense, and master counterpuncher

I was impressed with Casamayor as a excellent technician/Counter puncher early in his career and when he won his first title... He was actully smoother back then compared to when he got most of his big wins.

Also liked Jese J Leija skillls in his prime days at JL... He put on a masterful boxing clinic on Azumah Nelson in their second fight. One of my favorites he looked perfect that night and won almsot every round...
Even when he was an old vet he schooled some young hot shot prospects. BOjado,Camacho Jr(jr quit)
, prim Mickey Ward,Ivan Robinson, Lascanso too but he got robbed.

Also Mark Johnson, maybe the fastest fighter ive ever seen , super slick but also liked ot slug it out time to time, gret puncher,Good chin in his prime. He was the whole package, in his prime he didnt have any weaknesses. And IMO the best HTH flyweight ive seen.

In my personal opninion I really like watching Sweet Pea, but I also appreciate how a big guy like Ali could move in his early years, especially in the light of the current heavyweights who look very stationary and boring most of the time.
Whitaker is my pick to.

You here people say it, but watching Whitaker put on a master class actually is like watching someone paint a beautiful picture.

It might sound stupid, but I think Boxing is quite therapeutic, and when I watch a great performance, which Whitaker has many of, it leaves you with that contented feeling you get from watching a great movie.

Whitaker was nothing like Mayweather either, whilst he could dominate you with his Boxing skills, he wasn't afraid to put his foot on the gas and press his advantage.

The only Whitaker fights where by he wasn't as aesthetically please, were the DLH, Chavez fights.

Duran, Whitaker, Chavez, R. Lopez, SR Robinson, Joe Louis, Benny Leonard, Alexis Arguello..

Someone mentioning Hopkins in this discussion goes to prove beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
