Default tony mundine has crushed anthonys skills

most sparring sessions, anthony does at least 8 (more like 12) rounds of sparring against usually bigger younger blokes, who spar him at 2-3 rounds per turn.

these blokes are always up for it. for anthony is just another bum. yet he rarely wins a round, he gets beaten up continually. for what fucken reason? i dunno, ask his dad!!!!

all shit aside. mundine is a gifted boxer. you may question his chin or heart, but his natural skills are beyond question.

khoder knows tony is killing his golden goose. if anthony was younger perhaps khoder would bring it to a head with tony. but time is short, his career will finish soon anyway.

had anthony had a real trainer, that concentrated on his great skills, mixed with occasional yet quality sparring, anthony may have fought a little longer, certainly would have become a better fighter, and his post boxing health would have been better..

there are people here that know the truth of what i say. please add.......

I always thought Anthony should have been trained by anyone other than his dad............... If the bloke is saying to him between rds shit like "C'mon son, you can do it" than heaven forbid what goes on in training.

After the Ottke fight Mundine should have left the comforts of his home land and headed to the states and train under Emanual Steward etc

Floyd Mayweather Snr wouldve been an ideal trainer for Mundine.

Because Mundine needs a good defence if he was to make it on an
international scale, also Mundine at times uses a semi shoulder roll
defence and I think Floyd could really sharpen Anthonys defence up.

Mundine does have good skills, talent and movement, so he would be
a far better candidate for Mayweather than Ricky Hatton was.

Only problem is Floyd wld probably make him a bigger dickhead than he already is with all that shit talk....... Mundine needed guidance and direction ala Cus Dmato to Tyson

Mundine SNR uses old school training...its no secret

I would like Mundine to undergo weights and strength training and maybe some of his power would be unleashed.

Mundine needs to train a bit smarter so his boxing career lasts longer....he is looking at this now.

Mundine has agreed to diet before fights and cut back on old school training ( losing water ) to lose weight.

Anybody that thinks Mundine will retire this year is nuts

Ive watched mundine spar and him getting bashed is bullshit.
Not one of the sparring partners gets near him and to be honest they arent really good enough to fight him anyway.
I will post a new thread soon showing him sparring.

If that is the case, he is using the same tactic that cost him any hope against Monzon. He used future all time great Victor Galíndez as a sparring partner. They claim they were some of the best fights ever seen but leaving Mundine flat for the world title fight.

Choc used to swear by weights when he started out but blamed them for his stamina issues.

Now he either does them less or not at all I thought.

Choc is better off training to his strengths...which are his speed and mobility.

You wankers wouldnt know shite from clay;
if you could go back and recorded and count every punch that ever tickled Anthony's chin in contests you probably wouldn't count to ten.

That is what Tony taught him..

In boxing your always going to get hit,its impossible to never get tagged.
Geales punches never troubled mundine, but ask geale about round 2.

Tony Mundine copped a lot more than Victor G in training for Monzon.

The day before the Monzon bout, Tony Mundine engaged wars with Argentina's BEST LH/W's in Media frenzied Sparring sessions for the sake of ?? selling the fight. One after the other, these blokes tried to rip Mundines head off.

Tony Mundine was a brave man in accepting the Monzon bout at all.. let alone being held in Argentina.

Lionel copped the same shit in Japan.. An unannounced sparring partner being Haradas brother.. Ushiwakamaru Harada. Another war.

Fammo heard of this problem before leaving for Japan to defend his own F/W crown against Harada. At his hotel room door came a knock, very early in the morning, from a young Japanese lady.
Fammo being the consumate king of one liners said "Who are you?? Haradas Sister??.. before promptly slamming the door.

These games have not, and will not cease for the sake of a slight advantage for either fighter and the Team. Some happenings are fkn hilarious.. others are just plain stupid.
