Yes, but a little * has to be placed beside that win for me.
Not hating, but it's a bit of a shit move from Pac and his team to allow one guy (Clottey) to weigh in at 147, and not Cotto, 145. Granted Pac would probably have won just as emphatically anyway, but still. Shit move. |

A Welterweight fight is when BOTH men have the option to weigh in at 147. A fight at 145 is catchweight.
That said, I'd guess the Ring would have had to call in a welterweight fight because its closer to 147 than to 140, that doesn't make it right though. |

There's definitely a few strange ones there.
Pac is too high at Welter and I'd be surprised if anyone thought differently. Naz could be a little higher and I would have expected MAB to be #1 or #2 at 126. I certainly wouldn't have Floyd as the best Lightweight. Based on his two fights with JLC? Or his much tougher than expected fight with Augustus? Or maybe his below-par performance against N'Dou? No. I would have Floyd at #1 at Super-Feather. He was the best I've ever seen at that weight. The Heavyweight list really tells its own story about the standard of the divisions fighters over the last decade. I mean, James Toney? I guess they put a lot of stock in his win over Holyfield. |

This is dreadful.
The SMW division, as well as those already mentioned, was one that got me shaken my head. Ward and Froch that high for what, 1 win each? 2 wins?

Can't believe how many people lamely buy into the bullshit they get fed by Roach and the like. 'Over 140 is welterweight' my arse. Had anyone ever uttered that phrase before Pac's team started using it? It's either a recognised weight or it's a catchweight. It cannot be both. Pac has fought once at 147 and it was against a guy who hadn't fought their for years and had no status in the division. Absolutely barmy to put him at no.3 ... |
