looked good
saw you land some good lead rights and saw you sneak a good left in there as well. to echo the poster above, try to set things up a bit. start throwing that jab like ya mean and double it up. at the beginning of the vid i did see you throw a good jab and immediately follow it with a straight right and that looked very good. build off that. keep it up man, you look good. |

Good effort mate.
Nice left hook which I first noticed around the 140 mark, very nice. You seemed to play into his hands a little by letting him dictate the movement. He was constantly moving to his left to open you up. As he was a southpaw this is what you should have been doing, although you did do it a bit towards the end. Your certainly not afraid to get hit which is always a good thing. Only you can answer this but you seemed a bit knackered after 4 mins. Bit more roadwork maybe. All in all good effort. Take all of what I say with a pinch of salt as I have never been in the ring. My number 1 bit of advice though....... .....a mouth guard that fits!!!! |

Your trying too hard to be a tough guy... I know the feeling, you get that adreniline pumping, and you get caught nice a few times.... You were much more skilled than that kid, and you tried to force your shots to look cool in front of the crowd. If you would have paced yourself, sticked to the game plan, you could have out boxed this fool ![]() You have a very good sense of distance btw, dont let the crowd effect you judgment too much... I know that win you get rocked and you hear the ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you want to catch him back right away... But be patient... The coolest guy is who wins in the end, they dont count knock downs and how hard you hit anyway. Everything looks good, just try to be more patient and stick to your game plan

Nice job overall. Good movement. My only advice would be to be careful throwing the lead right from too far out which you did a few times in the second round. The guy you were fighting didn't counter it, but could have. Good luck.

Well you didnt feint at all. no head movement and lack of variation in your punches. didnt circle to the left against a lefty! no countering. Didnt change your angles enough. But other than that your looking good mate.

you did good kid,
what weight do you fight in? Here are some things you can work on: 1. Punch with more authority, work on your power. 2. Use your Jab more. 3. You need more head movement, I didn't see you slipping punches at all. 4. Combinations. Go to the body more and the head will die. Other than that you did pretty good, how many fights you got? |

First up hope I can box that well in a year's time, you looked solid youngun.
Two things, don't overdo the straight right lead (you missed some consecutive ones), and I don't know if I have been watching too many Ali videos but try and counter jabs instead of blocking/catching them, slip and throw a jab back, or catch and throw something back. Just from what I saw/remember from your vid, may be way off. NICE video. But fix the lighting issue! |
