seriously watch this film, it sums aerts up beautifully.

greatest fighter ever in k1 history.

pity he's had a career plagued with injury though.

to take that fight with hoost on 15 minutes notice with hardly no training beforehand purely out of loyalty to k1 and respect for the fans shows what a great man he is.

i rate him over hoost because the 2 times they fought in there 'primes' aerts defeated him and defeated him well!

He's one of the greatest for sure. I do rate Hoost higher because he never lost his motivation and was called Mr Perfect for a reason. He had it all; nice boxing with both hands, great kicks, defense, strategy, ...

Aerts was mainly defensively not that good and that also explains some of his heavy KO losses.

Great guy and champion though, that's one thing for sure. Down to earth and always politeand he's still going hard ... although retirement is inevitable soon ... you can't fool mother nature!

True legend. The most awesome thing is that he has been in every final K1 tournament ever except for the last one. That on it's own make him a legend.

To me he is one of the greatest: Hoost, Schilt, Hug and Aerts. These are the men. In no particular order since every single one of them has a righteous claim to be #1.

aerts 'defensively not good'! you dont create a resume like he has if you are defensively not very good! look at his face! theres not a mark on it! just saying.

^^^ Very nice, nasty headkick ko's. Especially Jean Claude Leuyer looking like he's dead.

Great fighter. Probably the only guy out there able to deal with Semmy Schilt, lots of respect for him for that. Definitely his ko's were beautiful...unfortunately he also was ko'd brutally lots of times. I think this seriously affected him. I mean, the way he speaks right now. Sorry to see how this living legend suffered from the sport he loved

Lol ... his defense against punches really wasn't good mainly because he always held his hands too far from is head. He has a good jaw which helped him a lot, but he took many punches. Abidi, Leko and Bernardo are a few names that really hit him very hard.

peter was ****ing good in his prime but always lost to the greats such as ernesto hoost, mike bernado, he was a legend in k1 but i think to sum his career up. He was a gatekeeper for all of the all time greats of k1
