Not that he was ever a "broken man" or sustained a "beating" as such, but Lennox Lewis developed into a far more formidable fighter after his defeat against Oliver McCall.
You could also say history repeated itself after the first Rahman fight also. He got a little complacent, had a huge wake up call and came back to absolutely destroy Rahman.

I would also argue Nigel Benn became a better fighter after the Watson defeat. He wasn't quite as reckless or wild, but still just as intense.

I think Amir Khan has improved massively after Prescott, but he still has a long way to go before his career is over, so time will tell on that one.

Benn's a definite - he was a disaster waiting to happen before the Watson fight and was all but stopped by Logan.

David Haye's always saying how he never trained or took fights seriously before the Thompson loss so him also.

Marco Antonio Barrera was a beast before and after 1997, but he certainly improved and grew as a fighter after his lossess to Jones. Certainly.

Paulie Mallignaggi seems to off turned himself around after the Hatton defeat.

I'm sorry, I must change it then

If you wanna' see Mickey Walkers form watch him fight Louis-conquerer Max Schmeling. Considering Walker was a former WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION it's quite an impressive showing.

Paulie Mallignaggi, as the more observant amongst you will know, is one of my favourite fighters in the sport today. However, I have to admit that prior to his first ever defeat, to Miguel Cotto, he flattered to decieve.

So I would say that it was the Cotto defeat that turned Paulie's career around. I still think that he beats Hatton 9 times out of 10 and simply had an awful night in November 2008.
