Im trying to do the same thing at the minute. Im told you have to apply to the ABA first then they inspect your gym Its about £170 for the affilation. Then its CRB checks for all the commitee about £80 each Im told it takes about 8 weeks depending on if you have a criminal record. Then the club gets its affliation to the ABA then the club can put you forward if your not an ABA approved coach. I hope this helps and let me know how you get on

Jeff, where are you looking to open it up. I'm happy to help if I can be of service. My mate told me about this thread. He is also happy to help. He's the 2-0 amateur I've told you boys about before. I'm training his younger brother every week. Been doing so for a month. He's got the boxing bug. It's brillant training him, he is really respectful so he does what you say and it makes training easy. I've never seen an engine on anyone like him before. In his third week of training, he did 75 mins straight on the bag and in the end I stopped him because he wouldn't. I'd bet the house he could keep going for another 75mins. I want to get him some amatuer bouts. Will have to take him to a local club soon but hate having to give him up to some shit amateur coach who don't know his elbow from his arse. Anyway, good luck. If you need help from me and my mate then we are happy to. |

There is a set of information on our website with regards to basics for setting up a club, ie constitution, coaching, finance etc – here is the link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] In addition, with regards to costs and premises inspections etc, you will need to contact the Regional Secretary of your area to discuss this . Their contact information is also on our website – here is the link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |
