Looking at all the threads and posts since the fight I find myself laughing but not surprised at the usual abuse aimed at hatton.To all my american neighbours who give credit where credit is due and are embarrassed by their fellow brothers comments pour yourself a dram o the finest malt whiskey (im fae scotland) and have a toast to yourself this opion is not aimed towards you.
How dare other countries have better sportsmen than the good old USA this attitude is rife throughout the country,It was the same brigade who thought lacy was just going to have to turn up and fight Joe who?He's a bum never heard of him lacy easy within 6 .
Its is typical american arrogance they dont want to know what is outside the USA cause its the centre of the fucking universe and they are always right.example I was sitting in a restaurant in florida the waitress hears my scottish voice."Oh my father loved scotland he still has a whisky every night before he goes to sleep he was based there just after ww2""OHH really where was he based?" "In Normandy?" "Ah sorry you must be mistaken Normandy is in FRANCE" "NO NO Normandy is in Scotland" "No i live in Scotland and honest Normandy is France" "Well your WRONG I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT NORMANDY IS SCOTLAND!" at this point she was getting rather pissed off so I just left it.I just thought perfect example of USA narrow vision.
I know its a rant and Im going to piss off a load of people who cant handle the truth that is not my aim I love watching american fights and fighters it is where the scene is at.I cant stand PBF as a person all his trash talk and shit the guy really has no class outside the ring but you cant question his skills and speed which are awesome but not to keen on his style but it works for him.Now why can't a load of the USA fanbase not manage an un biased opion of a fighter who hasn't ducked anyone fought the best and won irrespective of their personal allegiance's towards another fighter.comment please

Hatton deserves credit man, for beating a completely shot fighter in Castillo who took a dive because he wanted to collect another check before he retired.

When you say UNBIASED opinion, what you really mean is praise of a fighter who you like. American fighters are bashed here all the time, so I guess by that same token, you are just as bad as us filthy Americans right?

KG ur a credible poster in here but on this the guy is right, Hatton, Calz, Kessler etc get a LOT more critizism from america then americans fighter get from europe public, Americans are simply too proud sometime to admit theyre not the best out there

I think Hatton takes a shlacking here at ESB, at least since the Collazo fight. Calzaghe gets criticism based on who people he percieves to be ducking. Kessler, I dont know, I think he gets a lot more hype than criticism here.

You also have to understand that most Americans are more familiar with Castillo than Hatton. Most of the time we only have a vague idea of a European based fighter's abilities. And of course, a lot of boxing writers won't give a milkfaced pug any propers anyway.

This is BS. The American fans here are less patriotic about their fighters than those of any other country, from what I see. Lots of American fans dislike Mayweather, and virtually everyone here hates on Spinks. Can't find many Jermain Taylor fans (such as myself) owning up these days, either. Boxing is a fringe sport in the United States, the media don't support it, so the fighters here typically stand for anything more important the way Pacquiao does and all the Mexicans, Hatton, et al.

Hatton had a good win and he obviously has a lot of talent, but boy he was stupid last night. He didn't even need to grab JLC, he was most effective when he was fighting on the inside and throwing punches. He really does neglect his footwork and handspeed when he does all this grabbing crap. Anyway, I'm not a fan of the guy's style..it's a better version of a "prime" Ruiz.
