early in the morning.. like 4.
because boxing is such a mental game i think because you are willing to get up early in the morning and do your track work wile your opponent is probably sleeping. wile your working there sleeping

resting is also a important part of training, so while your training he will also be training.

It could also be: While you're overtraining up to the point of injury, your opponent is giving his body the needed rest.

Some of you seem to be taking the "mental game" a bit too far. Like Relentless and RDJ said you need your rest, you're nothing special just because you get up early to run.

i dont see the point of running if you're not running hard.

Relentless, instead of acting like a know-it-all, back your statements up with some reasonable fact.

I actually run mostly in the afternoon. I'll run in the morning if its possible, but schedules don't leave me alot of time. Running in the evening sucks, besides thats when i do my gym work. I dont know why i don't like running in the evening, it just seems wrong.

If you feel up to it and think you could run as hard as possible, run on the night. Just make sure you have something to eat first.

Some people will probably go on about overtraining, but you have to find when you feel you're overtraining. Feeling like you don't want to train, always tired, depression, headaches, insomnia and a few others are signs of overtraining.

I'm an evening guy...for some reason I can NEVER get myself to run a really hard/good workout in the morning, I have to be up for at least 3-4 hours to do it.

I run my best when I go around 6PM, after a full day of doing something...it's a great stress reliever, and if I eat lunch between 1-3PM it gives my stomach plenty of time to empty out so that I'm not chucking it up when I run I usually go for about an hour too, which is perfect, cause then I'll be ravenous at around 8PM for dinner.

no hes right, it eats at fat reserves buddy. its been scientifically proven that running before you eat in the morning, once you wake up, burns fat 3x faster. then you have a big breakfast after to get your metabolism going fast for the day
