Sorry Teke but Kats jab would blow Zappa apart and he has only a left hand Zappa's right is well bad and really bad. In time he will get better but if they dared to put him in the ring with Kat today I would be more then happy to bet anyone Kat blows him away in 6-7 rounds.

People saying Zappa is fast which he is but Kat ain't not snail either and we all know Kat ain't gonna be backing up and his body attack is deadly and sure I am bias I don't hide that but I also truly believe Kat would smack Zappa (At the moment) Zappa has a LONG LONG LOng road ahead of him before he can match it with the top guys out there.

Stop embarrassing yourselves and your countrymen, homers.

The Showtime team wanted Zappa to win as much as networks want any prospect to win. There was no commentary conspiracy.

Show a little class, and a little maturity, and admit your boy fought well but got one he didn't earn - at the expense of a warrior who nutted up for naught.

You are fishing for objectivity IB, something you won't find it in the Aussie forum.

Its a place of anomaly where magical things like people scoring Katsidis - Diaz for Katsidis occur.

There is this perception that because katsidis likes to go at it in his fights that he won't go on for much longer.

I disagree totally.

I think Kats will be around till his 33-34 and will be an even better fighter then. He is only 29 at the moment. Notice katsidis only fights once or twice a year. This is to prolong his career. Others tend to fight 6-7 times a year. Have a look at the Angulo fight that Zappa just had, how is that any different with HIS head getting smacked around like its a rag doll to kats V diaz / amonsot? So if we take that theory, Zappa has one or two more of those and he'll be done at 25. Dont think so. I think we will find Zappa will also take Katsidis lead and tend to fight only once/twice a year

My next point is to say that in those 5 years katsidis still has left, i think he beats Zappavigna and beats him easily. This is my opinion and i will stand by it no matter what his next 3 results are win or lose.

Yep Waynesmale tend to agree with on all of what you have said.
I like Zappa and wish him well but imo he lost that fight.
Not that it wasnt there for him to win as it was he could have won the fight but he didnt stick to what was working for him and I for one was very frustrated about it and at his corner.I thought they could have given better advice and steered the kid in the right direction.

Looks like Fightnews agrees with the Zappa win.......

Lightweight Lenny Zappavigna (23-0, 15 KO’s) won a hard-fought 12 round unanimous decision over Fernando Angulo (22-7, 14 KO’s). After the bout began with clenches in the first half of the fight, both fighters had their moments as they traded heavy shots. Zappavigna was cut over his right eye, which gave him problems as blood seeped into his eye. Angulo was deducted a point in the ninth round for hitting on the break. Angulo pressed the action in the second half of the fight, but Zappavigna finished the bout strong, staying on the outside and landing the more effective punches. All three judges had Zappavigna winning by scores of 116-111, 116-111, and 114-113. With the victory, Zappavigna wins the vacant IBO 135-pound title.

Call me ol ways but if you don't come in at the weight, you don't deserve to win the fight. Good on Lenny for getting a gimme.................I feel like's it a payback for Fenech's draw with Azumah. Lenny showed plenty of guts to go the 12 rds with a tough fighter & battle it out.

Zappa's gift was a pay back for Fenech v Nelson?

If it makes you sleep better now.....
