I think Jackson had a tazer in his gloves.

These illegal wrapping techniques also caused Roy Jones and Vivian Harris to be stopped in strange circumstances recently

These commission officials aren't going their jobs properly

Reminds me of the old horseshoe inside the gloves in comic strips

There's a prime Vitali vs prime Tyson thread on the general

So a prime Vitali can't beat a fat, 38y/o Lewis, yet can KO a pre-jail Tyson?

I've heard it all

People mistake Vitali's good start early against Lewis for the fact that he was starting to ship punishment. Lewis was finding him more often, his jab was connecting, he had the reach to negate much of Vitali's defensive skills and his punch selection was fantastic once he warmed up.

As he tired, Klitschko started leaning in and clinching. neither guy has much of an inside game, but one of Lewis best shots was the uppercut. It was Lewis' one concession to working on the inside and it allowed him to both clinch, maul and punish opponents. Klitschko had already taken a hellacious uppercut that split his face open and Lewis was going to keep doing it as the fight wore on.

The stoppage was absolutely reasonable. Vitali would have ended up blind.

Its not even controversial as far as im concerned...

The replays show the cuts were clearly caused by punches and had the fight carried on Lewis had plenty of space to regain those lost rounds.

By the time of the stoppage Lewis was beginning to turn the fight around and looked to be the more dominant as it went on.

Personally I think he may well have KO'd Klitschko in the next few rounds as Vitali was deteriorating and looking tired.

Hey ho. And all this against an over the hill, out of shape Lennox.

What really ****ed me off about that fight was the way Vitali started showing off after the stoppage and whining like a five year old, then went to each corner of the ring and held his hands up like he was the clear winner.
Those were some of the worse cuts ive seen in a fight. He's lucky it got stopped or he would have been seriously disfigured.

Vitali has had sand in his ****** about the Lewis fight ever since. He lost fair and square. Stop crying.

The American commentators were so biased in that fight. "It's all Lennox Lewis can do to stand up!!" yelps Jim Lampley, moments after a solid punch by Lewis has Klitschko holding on for dear life and staggering all over Lewis in doing so.

I know his hands aloft I'm the world champ, me!!! like it was a clear robbery on the cards.
I understand his frustration but **** happens he needs to let it go.

BTW Does Vitali see David Haye as easy pickings or as a quality rival champion?

Personally I'd like to see Vitali take a Tua left hook but he'd need a box to reach him.

The dreads obscured Vitali's vision so he couldn't see the tenderiser Lennox was wielding

It was just really strange. Vitali was having trouble landing on Byrd, but he was winning pretty handily. I guess the hand or dislocation was painful enough that he felt he couldn't go on, but I recall someone saying he could have basically walked away from Byrd, lost the last few rounds and still won.

Look at Pascal dislocating his shoulder three times against Diaconu and still continuing. It just smacks of being a cry-baby.

Just copy the link and paste it in the message box

Byrd was a really good fighter, underrated IMO, but hardly a massive threat to someone like Vitali..... if he was far enough ahead..... unless the pain was that bad he could have fought one-handed to the bell.
