Default David Haye vs Samuel Peter. Who wins?

Does Peter stalk and eventually catch Haye with a bomb, sending him to la-la land?

Or does Haye counter him all night long and maybe stops him late?

I said the other night I'd like to see Haye in with Chambers or Peters. Someone he doesn't have a decided speed advantage over. I'm not sure he beats either one. Not a prediction mind you. I think fighting one of these guys gives us a good picture where he stands in the HW division. Peters looked to be in good shape when I saw him on the Pavlik under card.

depends who shows up.

the peter that fought wlad was in shape and undefeated, and willing to walk through fire to land his shots.
the peter that shows up at 260 pounds would definitely lose by points or TKO.

same goes for haye. if he shows up around 215 he'll win on points or KO depending on the condition of peter.
the one that showed up verses ruiz would stand a very good chance of losing by KO, no matter what shape peter is in.

but one thing is certain. both haye and peter will have a fields day with the clubbing right to the back of the head

Taken from the other thread but it applies here

I think the Peter that Wlad fought gives Haye PLENTY of trouble, people saying Haye wipes his ass with him are overrating Haye so much lol (and i like Haye, and would be rooting for him in this fight)

Ruiz coming forward getting hit with everything just went 9 rounds with a prime Haye.... but Hayes going to stop a young, in shape Peter? Doubtful, ESPECIALLY considering that Haye would be too smart to get into a slugging match with Peter, he would use the ring, distance and timing to catch peter coming in and pot shot him from the outside while doing his best to stay mobile and elusive. Hes not going to sit there banging with Peter like a Tua or Ike would, or even how he did with Ruiz as times, but yet hes going to beat the **** out of Peter?

Highly doubtful.

THIS IS NOT A KNOCK ON HAYE, but simply seeing a fighter as they are. Haye will not be knocking out many big strong dangerous fighters, as hes TOO SMART for that. He will be outboxing them landing bombs, and if the KO comes, then it will be a big plus... but I can garuntee you Hayes gameplan against a peter, tua, or brewster style fighter (not comparing the three's quality, simply strong powerful pressure fighting power punchers) would not be to go in there and 'beat the **** out of them' like ive seen throughout the forums a few times.

That being said, i def think Haye would outbox Peter and win a decision, in fact id make him the favorite.

Haye will most likely win by KO. Peter is way effing overrated.

Come on...Peter is no good. Never has been. Even his much vaunted power is completely overrated, the only decent guy he's knocked out is Maskaev who has zero durability and lost his last fight by KO to a nobody. He's never knocked out anybody as good as Ruiz.

Haye late or easy decision.

Haye doesn't have the defense or stamina to avoid Peter's punches for 12 rounds. Haye doesn't have the power to hurt Peter.

WELL......AT THIS STAGE PETER IS YOUNGER THAN RUIZ....AND LATELY PETER HAS COME IN UNDER 240 LBS.....AND HE PUNCHES REAL HARD MUCH HARDER THAN RUIZ....SO THE QUESTION WILL PETER CLIP A GUY WHO GIVES ANGLES>>???????.........ALSO WATHCED PETERS COMEBACK FIGHTS AFTER VITALI LOSS....... HE KNEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SNAP DA JAB INSTEAD OF POWING WITH IT LIKE A RANGE FINDER.......HE NEEDS TO SNAP IT/.....BUT WHATEVER..........I SAY HAYE WINS.....BUT WOULDNT SURPRSIE ME IF PETER WINS BECAUSE OF HIS PUNCHING POWER......HAYE ISNT A REAL HEAVYWEIGHT...........REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO JEREMY WILLIAMS...

A fight with Peter would be a very good next fight for Haye. Peter is very strong puncher , and he was very improved in his last fight (OK, Aguilera is not somebody serious, but Peter was improved)
Haye will have much more difficulties than with Ruiz. KO is out of the question .
I would say that the possibilities are 60-40 for a Haye victory(on points of course)

Can't see him stopping Peter. If Haye had good stamina he'd be the boxer most British fans think he is; his biggest weakness IMO.
