Chagaev.
Timur Ibragimov himself have said that Chagaev, Sultan and him were close long time ago and that Chagaev was the better of the three. I still think this is the case.. but I don't see any K.O, only a Chagaev UD. |

Heard about this, is it a done deal or merely speculative at this stage?
Very interesting fight if it came off. I haven´t seen Ibragimov often enough to be able to evaluate him, judging by the Briggs fight I´d say Chagaev has better movement, the better jab and a higher workrate. |

Its interesting fight because both are southpawe. Ibragimov its faster , he have more power but Chagaev punching harder and knows to fight in many styles.
Chagaev by TKO at round 7 or 8. |

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Could be an intresting fight, too unbeaten southpaws. I would guess Chagaev wins this but I can also see Ibragimov taking it. Last edited by NBT; 06-26-2007 at 03:22 PM. |

Ibragimov much more faster. If Chagaev will decide to go right to Sultan and fight inside, he will be catched and knocked out. If it will outside and full distance, different ways are possible. Both of them have good footwork right now, good speed and good vision. Difficult to say. Ibragimov from Russia and fight will be in Russia - it could be a factor as well.

thanksKohl´s website still has no mention of this, but then they are usually the last to make a deal like that official. It would seem surprising Kohl would want to risk his heavyweight champ, right after getting hold of a heavyweight champ for the 1st time since Klitschkos hey days, doesn´t look like Kohl at all to be honest so I ll wait until its been confirmed over here before becoming too enthusiastic. It appears as if it will be staged on neutral ground Russia and imo Chagaev is the better fighter anyway, Ibrag didnt impress me at all against Briggs. |

I thought Ruslan would win the decision but Sultan was real fit for his last fight and he may outhustle Ruslin, it depends on the pace of the fight and who is in better shape, I see a close decision

Chagaev by stoppage victory in the later rounds.
Sultan is totally overrated IMO.He went the full route with Osokin, and drawed with Austin. Besides he didnt impress me much with his performance against Shannon Briggs. By the way Austin got a gift decision against Sedrick Fields who knocked him down, but couldnt finish him. Chagaev brutally knocked Fields out.Austin drawed with Sultan.I know that this cross comparisons dont mean that much.Styles make fights.Unfortunetely,Sultan doesnt have the right style to beat Chagaev. Not only has Chagaev more pop in his fists,he has the better fight record as well.IMO Sultan is the weakest of the four present champs. |
