Chag's iron chin is going to be the differnence. Ruslan can hurt Sultan, but not he other way around.

It is a pretty simple breakdown. Both men are rather similar. Shorter heavies, southpaws, heavy hands etc. The difference is that everything Sultan does Ruslan does better, add to that the fact he is younger, stronger and has a better chin and I think Ruslan is a clear favorite in this fight.

And the worst part is no one in the US will carry it.

Exactly my take as well, plus imo Ruslan hits more accurately and has faster hands, he has that fast snapping straight left, Sultan in his turn (judging by the Briggs fight) has a good roundhouse left, but it looked neither as fast nor as accurate as Chagaev´s straight left

Yes Ruslan has very underrated handspeed.

Besides he didnt impress me much with his performance against Shannon Briggs.

By the way Austin got a gift decision against Sedrick Fields who knocked him down, but couldnt finish him.
Chagaev brutally knocked Fields out.Austin drawed with Sultan.I know that this cross comparisons dont mean that much.Styles make fights.Unfortunetely,Sultan doesnt have the right style to beat Chagaev.
Not only has Chagaev more pop in his fists,he has the better fight record as well.IMO Sultan is the weakest of the four present champs.
Forgive me i'm not euro. I was leaning towards sultan but after reading this post i will have to look at this fight a little closer

Nothing to be sorry about,mate!

Who knows? Sultan may be able to wipe the floor with Chagaev. We can only speculate here on this forum.
Nevertheless I dare to say that Sultan is the underdog against Chagaev.I will bet money on Chagaev.

Unfortunately, I could not retrieve my old account with my prior postcount ect ect, but starting over is not such a bad thing.

I well remember you and a few others back then were the only ones in a sea of American fight fans flying the european flag on boxing com. Good to see you

You know, as per Tom's rumor, it would be an amazing card if they had Povetkin vs Lyakhovich under Chagaev vs Ibragimov, that would fill the Olympisky up.
